My coins have NOT moved. I trust Kraken, but yes, like most of you guys, I'm not comfortable until I can log into my account. I will wait though. Let's hope for the best and when I say this, I mean having Kraken come back online soon and have a stellar trading engine as well.

Same here, my coins haven't moved. It's not going to make me more confident until I see Kraken's website online again. While the week end is starting I doubt we will see something done before Monday.
If they can't update the site, then stop it, take the site back online and try again when you're sure to be able to perform the upgrade

I'm sure you can understand my skepticism with regards to that. I have a large amount in Kraken and just want a way to confirm my funds are safe other than a few words on a message board.

This is really puzzling. It looks like an exit scam, but rational people would realize that with so much money they would be hunted with great effort plus some part of their customers is quite IT proficient plus US based means a bit suspicious justice system and extraditions around the world. On the other hand else this would be shocking incompetence, given that they have had problems for a while and they probably have money to build several such systems in parallel. I have money there too, by the way.

If you ever come back up you can believe in a massive panic withdrawal ....

If you stop new customers (as other exchange) the time to your upgrade you not have this situation ...

If you communicate better you don't have this situation too ....

 My opinion, that there's no point for Kraken to quit, especially now. They earn nearly million (or more) $ per day solely from the trade fees. It is a solid business they make there.

 What they are doing - I think - is upgrading their buggy trading engine for ALL OF US - while in the same time  sacrifising their own profit - being offline for two days costs no less than 2 mils...

 I also have money there - but somehow I believe in their spirit...

 And also the time is right - the fluctuations in market these two days are minimal. Couldn't be a better time frame to perform this upgrade.

 And other thing. Jesse Powell. He is so well known - everybody knows he is the Kraken - do you think he would risk his life quitting, after so much year dedicated to such successfull business?

Good question, can we require a FIAT withdraw?

I asked the support to make fiat withdrawal via SEPA, they said I have to issue withdrawal myself through the platform. When I asked them to issue a withdrawal for myself, they replied that Kraken support has no access to my funds. Basically I have to wait for the maintenance to be over and then issue a withdrawal myself.

Unfortunately, it is not consistently reproducible and we cannot launch until this issue is resolved. To reiterate our earlier statement: stale (and possibly all) orders will be canceled, and liquidations will be paused before trading is resumed. We will be offering a substantial amount of free trading following resolution.
