Contrive a grammatically correct sentence using four ins in a row. One or more can be capitalized but don't use Inn--only "in/In".
I'll start with using three ins in a row to get the ball a rollin'.
The choir joined in in "In the Misty Moonlight". (Is the period suppose to be inside the quotation mark?)
EDIT: No plurals or possessive usage.

The capitalisation rule is cheating. I really don't think the last "in" in "in in In" should count.

Being that this is my thread, the last "in" in "in in In" in "In" thread should count.

The letter I, among other letters, can be found in "in", in "In the Misty Moonlight", or in "VIII".

For those keeping score at home, we went from 4 to 5 to 7, then back to 4 ins in a row.

In's IN in IN increased in value.
In 1 => person In 2 => Indium In 4 => Indiana
Unless my 7 ins is not grammatically correct that's the number to beat. I see that I forgot to exclude plurals and possessive usage as well--only singular ins.

I have to concur with your assessment, for I did clearly state that the sentence had to be grammatically correct. Six ins is not that bad though. I'm goin' to tackle the seven ins now, for clearly the sentence "Being that this is my thread, the last "in" in "in in In" in "In" thread should count." is not grammatically correct. Oh, wait...

In Australia, being in a bushrangers gang in the olden days could land you in gaol (jail for US readers).
Four ins used successfully

Bravo! But the four ins are not in a row.

Bravo! But the four ins are not in a row. A man said to me, "in in in in in in in in in" and declared he had won the contest, but I pointed out that the sentence had to be grammatically correct.

Indeed he did pull out, for his sentence was lame, but my sentence describing his sentence was not.

In Indiana, inns are inherently intrusive for former inmates due in part to a now-inconceivable idea to do background investigations in cases where a guest clocks in intoxicated in such a way where speech is incoherent. Indiana inns inoculate former inmates by installing thin, shiny ingots of zinc in a parallel composition, done in part to inhibit dodging inn guidelines.
(yeah - not in a row. "joined in in" is nonstandard, though - so there.)
