you can sell TRX and buy more Oyster. TRX has no more future i think. the guy on TRX selling just dreams but Oyster will burn some tokens and will make an Airdrop to PRL holders. so we can see 3x soon for PRL.
VEN and ICX are good project so you can HODL them forever..

Some coins I'm not too familiar with. I would personally get rid of TRON.

VEN and ICX are great investments though so you probably want to hang on to those for now!

I would stay away from thron as it seems its more a pump and dump coin that a serious project. Also spectre(xspec) is surrounded with scam accusations and a lot of people are shiling it on bitcointalk so that dosnt really fill me with confidence.Like the rest of portfolio

Frankly speaking I am not familiar with most of them. If you have done your home work investigating and observing the coins before you made that choice, why not!. I myself would prefer coins with good reputation such as DOGE, LTC, STEEM, BTC, BCH, PIVX and DCR

I like Elixir is your portfolio, it is a very good choice especially if you bought the dip. Personally, I think Elixir is way undervalued right now and the price will go higher when they launch the mobile app.

I don't get this fascination all newbies have with ELIX and PRL.

VEN and ICX are very strong picks.
As for ELIX and PRL i agree with previous poster that they are overhyped a lot, though PRL is at the such a bottom at the moment that it can be very good investment for short-mid term.
TRX has really bad publicity but i still see the potential in it due to the lot of the patnerships it's made.
I don't know much about the rest of coins.
But you definitely should consider adding ETH instead of some of your picks to add stability to your portfolio. Just look at the prices during this correction. Even ICX which is the most solid and stable coin in your list costs now ~30-35% from it's all time high while ETH costs 60-65% from it's ATH.

You have very good coins in your wallet. I want to correct it a bit by removing crypto coins SpectreCoin (XSPEC) and Tron (TRX).

it is a nice portfolia. if you look at what the coins do in the last year, you can believe that you will be rich in the future.

Hey everyone. Just looking for people's opinions on my altcoins. Should I sell some, invest more in a coin, buy new coins etc?
Total spend is around $3500

VeChain (VEN) x 267
Icon (ICX) x 175
Elixir (ELIX) x 746
Oyster (PRL) x 333
Tron (TRX) x 4800
SpectreCoin (XSPEC) x 100
SpaceChain (SPC) x 410

First question, how did you choose all those coins? Do you know what the projects are doing? Why you do not hold major coins, at least BTC and ETH, I guess that is a must for any portfolio to diversify the risks.

Decent but I would add more top caps to lessen my risk overall. Also I would get rid of Tron for now as the price is more than it is currently worth I believe. Overall a good project if they achieve what they set out to, which would ultimately have than as an Ethereum competitor in the end which could be massively profitable.

SpaceChain...? I'd dump that and replace with one of the suggestions from upstream in the thread.

I'm thinking of getting Via. I got it on GRS. In 2018, 2 projects can make a serious rise. For now I am in the process of finding capital. I have collected 150 pieces from VTC.

Icon YES!
Elixir YES!
Oyster YES!

Avoid SpectreCoin and Tron in my opinion!

I just checked SpectreCoin. The market volume is too low. It will take a lot of patience to hodl it. Just days ago, I learned it hard way. I buy some deep onions and just watch the price swings in agony. I lost my patience, and I sold them out.  Next time, I won't trade such coins with low market volume. It's difficult to say so if you are just hodling though. Just my opinions. Smiley

It's certainly out there. Tron and Spectrecoin (Bankera) have some serious scam accusations which you'll want to make sure you understand. Why none of the solid coins such as BTC, ETH? Or Next gen coins like EOS, IOTA or ADA?
Scam accusations are not improved yet dude. It means they are just simply harmless accusation for reducing the price of them , maybe they could be the fake news which were came from whales and sharks to control the market as well.

I think you also need to have some solid coins like ZenCash, NEO, LTC or ETH in the portfolio.
