I will give my honest opinion regarding this list that OP has created.

1. OP is trying to get merit points for making this post. Op has included a bunch of trusted DT members here and those who are reputable in the community.
2. OP is trying to get "favors" by making them look good. Some of them are campaign managers as well so possibly OP is trying to "woo/impress" them.

You are not rude, it's my opinion too. I didn't know that specific word in English so I used translator and look what kind of results I got
sycophant, lickspittle, bootlicker, groveller, truckler, groveler, sponger, yesman, toad-eater!
Well people will do just about anything to get merits, that will be good for some people on this site, they will always have a bunch of slaves to use in the way they like.
I don't agree with this list at all, this people just post more then others cause they are involved in all campaigns, all businesses, they are into everything. For me quality post comes from a good person, and on this list some people are not good.

Edit: Sorry but you asked for that. You could do a better search and find people that are not dt or signature campaign managers..
I will suggest one name, its Franky1, his post's are always great to read.

And this is not the final list ! Infact there is no final list . This will keep changing according to the suggestions I will get . So rather than criticising so much , it would be better if everyone suggests names so that I can add them to the list (after going through it myself). And you can also tell me if I have added a wrong person in the list . That is also much appreciated

They are earning from a weekly compounding interest and not from a weekly payment in sig camp compare that to what quality post we are searching to.

I am still wondering about the purpose of this thread, if its not for merit ? Everyone knows that the listed users are good posters, so there is no need to highlight the same. I think OP has discovered new way to get the merit from these users on his other post. Its not that easy to earn the merit, try something else.

Those 3 names were suggested to me by someone. And what is your God damn problem if I add them now or later . If you want to contribute then stay or else leave . Noone is relying on your suggestions. Also I have clearly mentioned I need suggestion to keep the list updated. Kindly raise your fucking eyes and see

It's not all about merits ! I know it's a great idea and helpful for new people but I just decided to post the topic with the limited names I had in my mind . And ask people about names I am not aware. Because lately I was a bit inactive and also there are people who are willing to help me so those who want to help are well appreciated!

Not really. I don't see the point of there being a hall of fame for extraordinary posters, isn't the merit supposed to be for it? Extraordinary posters will get the most merit and be listed in the "top merited users" in merit stats anyways, no need for an additional list, IMO.

One of such activities that doesn't pay is helping newcomers and explaining things to them. They have no merit to give you for your time and knowledge. With the introduction of the merit system it started to be the definition of charity work.

I have a bunch more users that I will probably add as they come to mind, I'm pretty bad with names. These users have pretty solid post-quality themselves. Just felt like these were all users worth considering.

That's why I'm in agreement with your approach, at least in these types of scenarios. It is nice to see users putting more effort into their posts, but it is sad to see people doing things because they see it as a potential Merit-Go-Round. Being too gentle might not send the message clearly enough that we don't want disingenuous discussions and we will not be mislead by a newbie's desperation for merit.

I would be endlessly interested to hear you give one hour on the politics of the merit system.

My first red-flag was being included in the list. I have long posts and I actually try to have conversations with people, but my technical knowledge is pathetic and my forum information is equally poor. I don't know what made them include me, but I might have even merited this thread if there was real effort put into it, with real criteria and I wasn't on the list.

OP, if you want this list to be worth anything then you should probably lock this thread, spend a few hours researching the history of the forum and bitcoin development and start grabbing names of knowledgeable and informative users. I have been helped by dozens of intelligent people and this is partly how I came up with my few names.
