They are both really good with great mechanics but I prefer DOTA 2, it has a lot of elements that combined make a challenging but entertaining game, I don't like the graphics on League of Legends and the mechanics are good and simple but I still prefer the dota ones.

For me Dota 2 is better i play both but i prefer dota 2, dota 2 isn't user friendly while LoL you can easily play it. even my brother who only plays LoL admit dota 2 is  a lot harder and better

Definitely DOTA 2 is better than LOL. Because it has better game dynamics. In addition, DOTA 2 graphics are more realistic and look nice.

I play both DOTA 2 and LoL, but DOTA 2 wins for me hands down. Even though I've played both for quite a long time, LoL always seemed kind of too simple or childish for me. DOTA 2 on the other hand is on another level. But love for both games!
