Where i work, my phone's connection is very very bad. I still could use blockchain because i have a computer. I can't use mycelium.

Mycelium lets you create transactions while it is offline, and broadcasts them when it gets an internet connection. So it could still work with really spotty connections, just not instantly.

Ok, you convinced me to give mycelium a serious try.

So I tested mycelium and I did switched from blockchain.info. I am very pleased to have two HD wallets, electrum for cold storage and mycelium for my hot wallet.

I noticed some French labels not very well translated, so I will see tomorrow or next week if I could make a pull request.
Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

if you want to contribute to the translations, drop me a pm with your email, i can send you an invite to our crowdin system. if you do it via pull request it is a bit harder for us to integrate.

Did a trade with somebody who uses the German version of Mycelium. Mine is in English. My trade history now shows "Sie haben den Betrag freigegeben." (You released the funds.) All the other Local Trader messages are in English.

If you accidentally switch between portrait and landscape screen orientation while decrypting BIP38 private key... "Preparing decryption key..." percentages disappear and you have to start all over again.

Is this normal?

yes, this is a known bug. it could be fixed - but it is some work to do so and it is harmless.

Odd thing is, I did another one with a different trading partner today who also used the German version and mine is still in English. This time all the messages on my end are in English. I don't know which version the first trader used, though the one today used the latest one for sure (he told me he downloaded it today).

Is there any specific reason why Mycelium only works on iOS8+?
It wipes out all older iPods and iPhones... : /

Feature request: Under Settings -> Currency, can we get "None". Sometimes I do not want/need the exchange rate displayed.

Coming up soon:

Devs:
How do I find xpub key?
in the next beta version 2.2 which is planned in january.

seems like anyone who has access to my phone has access to my bank... Only thing separating them is a  simple pin just does not seem safe.

[...]

That "simple" PIN is 6 numbers, resulting in 10^6 possible combinations. I don't know how many tries you get with Mycelium though, hopefully it's coded in a way that make the time between trials longer if you entered the wrong PIN more than, say, three time. Additionally you can put a key lock on your phone. Depending on the model this can be a PIN, passphrase/password, or a something like a line drawing. Some phones offer full encryption as well.

If your phone is stolen, all of the above should give you enough time to restore your wallet and send the coins to a new address on a different phone or computer. (restore instructions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=909238.msg10003275#msg10003275)

[...]
I liked it when I had my old account and Id have to scan the QR code if I was to send from my  physical SAFE account,  [...]

This is still possible to do, even with the HD version. Go to Accounts, tap the Key+ symbol, tap Advanced, enter PIN and scan the address you'd like to receive coins to (with the private key saved somewhere else). Back in the Accounts tab, select the address you'd like to work with.

Very likely yes. The reason for adding xpub/xpriv support is to be able to spend from or watch balances of HD paper wallets created by Entropy.

The date gets used as default label if the user doesn't specify a custom label when importing. So my best guess is that either someone else (do you have a pin set?) or yourself (accidentally) added this address at the specified date, and you did not notice it till now.

Did other people have access to your phone that day?
Did you check the accounts tab often, or could it have gone unnoticed?
