Payment Coin is bootstrapping a distributed computational economy with peer-to-peer electronic cash. It is a free open source peer-to-peer network based digital currency employing the fundamentals of Bitcoin; and employs a simplified variant of Scrypt (Litecoin, Dogecoin) as its proof of work (POW).

No official airdrop. However each wallet download will be rewarded with free early adopter coin rewards. Also multiple bounty rewards available.

We expect to have the official blockexplorer launched within the next 6 weeks. The wallets contains the stand-alone miner. Official pooled mining set-up in-progress. Exchange listing will be Q2/Q3 earliest.

To confirm Phase 1.0 can be considered a solid Altcoin (rolling out the foundations). The real USP value is being developed based on our research, and will be released in our upcoming Phase 2.0 and 3.0 releases (refer to website for roadmap). For example a new all-in-one 'wizard driven' wallet with inbuilt learning modules for the average user. This will open up accessibility to a whole new userbase. The team are looking to grow organically and early adopters will be rewarded in the long run.

This is well known and documented in our download guide. The wallet contains the original mining component that is available in most of the altcoins. We wanted some stand alone mining to be available to early adopters that are new to cryptos. Some virus companies flag this mining component up as a false alert. Refer to forum for further information. Wallets are 100% safe.
