Only took a year or so, but that is the hologram

Its gonna be 18MM so it fits on the 1/10th oz coins

also the next line of coins is gonna be called pieces of 8 and its going to be 8 coins

1/10 oz silver
1/4 oz silver
1/2 oz silver
1 oz silver

1/10oz gold
1/4 oz gold
1/2 oz gold
1 oz gold

The design for the 1/10th oz silver is going to be the exact same as the 1/10 oz gold. exact same. So these will not be marked with what type of metal they are, only their weight

The silvers are going to come out 1 at a time and if it goes well and you guys like it I will be doing the gold ones.

They will be blank on the back and have a design on the front

when you put the coins together it makes one big picture

It will be cool to see how the colors play out in the reflection, when will these be going into printing?

I expect to have these in my hand in 2 months. I wasn't even thinking about the colors of it, I believe I am going with a gold hologram color.

I'm trying to get feedback on the right direction of the image.

I sometimes use stock art in holograms or designs (which I pay for myself). You always have the option of the other more detailed stock image. Use of stock images in designs is very common. It's kind of funny that in that message it suggests I was trying to scam you with a watermarked image, trust me I'm not quite that dumb. Plus when it's on a hologram, with all the extra detail, it will look fine.

It's cool you're discussing the design with other people, but I'm confused why you're sending me messages with people insulting the layout without understanding what it is. A layout can be iterated and changed- that's essentially what it's for, so we don't get something you're unhappy with when the design is actually complete.

One suggestion, I know kids love pirate ships, but perhaps use a sailboat that is not from the 1800's but more modern.  After all this is bitcoin, not gold dubloons.

No, just curious. I recently had a conference call with a hologram manufacturer and he made mention that the less displacement between shading transitions is undesirable and didn’t recommend holos smaller than 1”. But we’re only talking the difference of of few mm’s.

I have a hard time believing BTS would have mashed up this stock image with the below wave graphics that look like they were done in paint.  I don't mind subscribing to your story if bigtimespaghetti was to confirm he did the work.

I have paid for stock graphics before and when that happens the graphic designer doesn't go out of his way to photoshop (https://i.imgur.com/ehgRWdx.png) the watermarks out of the image, the watermarks are already removed.

I also wanted to point out I don't believe the layout was truly insulted, more like it got pretty good reception although now this has been revealed some people are wondering what was actually originally artistically created for this project.

hi all! I can confirm I did this as a layout- I didn't pay for the stock images because this was a layout (undecided), when layouts have been agreed upon I usually either pay for the images or make an entirely original image to replace it.

So yeah it looks like trash, which I touched up to look slightly less trashy (lol)- plenty of my clients will confirm I send them a lot of rough content when trying to come up with a layout for a design they are happy with.

I can also confirm that since killyou72 has decided to share my DMs (and layout) publicly without my permission that I will not be proceeding with the design edit:let's see if we can wrap this up amicably, I'll admit to not really caring about the layout image sharing, the DMs is just a little rich for me.
He is welcome to keep the layout for someone else to finish the design. While I don't explicitly sign off all my DMs with people expecting them not to post them, I never share them in posts myself and I do expect a modicum of reciprocal respect when it comes to the privacy of direct messages, as do most here I expect.

The truth is I was very busy for all sorts of reasons and didn't get round to his design as fast as I should have- my bad, I admit that was shitty of me and I screwed up. I did apologise to him for this and wanted to move forward. But frankly I'm not interested in justifying myself any further than this post. I think I've answered concerns and questions here. Though I also think the quoted DM is pretty clear too.
I can also understand with killyou wanting to move forward fast and show people for his coin, because we didn't get this started quick enough, but it was just too premature to do out of context and no where near finished.

tldr: I sometimes use copypasted watermarked images for layout before either removing or paying for them + I don't like people sharing my DMs publicly.

Y'all can flame me for using stock images to help with layout and subsequently paying for them in some designs if you like now
