I guess you would have bought some coins till now for long term investment, though I'm sure they all will be in loss currently due to bearish market.
I have bought few tokens in these bear market, like POLY and TRX. POLY is my 5-6 year HODL token, let's see how it goes, I'm expecting 15x from it in next 5 year or so.

People always say ether or bitcoin, but if you want something riskier. Invest on NEO (will be a big year with a number of ICOs on the horizon, and could be humongous if China comes back to the table), REQ (touted as the next PayPal, test product looks great, ahead of roadmap and big updates coming in 2018), LINK (connecting Blockchain to the commercial world, with the potential for some huge partnerships to be announced. SWIFT), OMG (IMO one of the cryptos with the biggest potential, but progress has been slow, although they have announced details of staking for Q1 of next year), and finally QSP (it isn't sexy but they're aiming to be the smart contract auditor of choice, and I have no doubt from what I've seen since the ICO a couple of months ago that they can do that in the next few years).

I would buy more Ethereum right now and keep it for longer as well. Given that ETH is currently so much oversold, it has great potential for both short term and long term trading action. Short term looks good because it is oversold while long term also looks good because ETH is an extremely innovative coin with a real world solution to real world problems. I'd buy as much as I can while it's still valued so low.

For long term investment, i would choose to invest into an ICO or in a new ICO. But you should study the possibility of success of the ICO and also see if it is a scam or not.At the start of trading of an ICO, a lot of them are going to see a drop of their price. It is sometimes better to wait and buy the coins/tokens on an exchange. Not all ICO is like this, but lots of them.
But the price usually recover after some months.
