It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

What does the Encrypgen project aim to do?

Encrypgen will create a global marketplace of Institutional requesters of sequenced DNA, and providers of sequenced DNA. Any person can be a provider of sequenced DNA, and be rewarded for their contribution. Researchers around the globe will use DNA coins to pay for access to study that genomic data.

What problem does Encrypgen solve?

Encrypgen solves multiple problems at once. Before Amazon shopping existed, people would drive to each store separately, buy their products, and continue driving to other stores. Amazon created an online marketplace where customers can conveniently buy most things in one place from the comfort of their home, and have them delivered. Encrypgen has a similar aim, which is to create a secure, convenient ‘marketplace’ for institutions to easily obtain large quantities of sequenced DNA, while being given ‘consent’ by the providers automatically included in the transaction. Rather than institutions and researchers having to obtain multiple different consents across multiple different countries and struggle with legal boundaries for multiple different studies, they can obtain all of that genomic data in one place with the click of a button. This will revolutionize the market for genomic data and create a direct link between researchers around the globe, and citizens providing their genomic data.

Will Encrypgen be providing just SNP analysis, or whole exome analysis?

This depends on the client. Some of our potential customers are storing whole genome data, and some have SNP data. We aren’t forcing them to move it, because some of it sits on clouds, some sits in silos, some is heavy, and some is light. By hooking clients’ data to the gene-chain, they will expose that meta-data (when they wish to) and compress their data in clouds or silos using our proprietary compression solutions. This adds layers of security, like military-grade encryption, for the transfer of data. Data requests and transfers get added to the blockchain, while MultiChain allows us to stream the data as needed.

There are a number of innovations that Encrypgen has in the works. When these are ready for market, there will be official announcements.

I don’t understand how Encrypgen will store huge amounts of data on the blockchain. Can you please explain?

Simple — we don’t. The gene-chain contains meta-data and special pointers. The genomic data will sit on silos where it is already, but it will be compressed for additional security using Encrypgen’s proprietary deep-learning tools.

Encrypgen has just recently purchased a $130,000 Artificial Intelligence super-computer to enhance their proprietary deep-learning capabilities.

From Discord ( https://discord.gg/tPCWdut ):

-''Will we get the point where we can get our DNA analyzed and see what foods are best for our particular body type as far as gaining muscle or losing weight ?''

Dr.Koepsell: ''..we are still a few years from that, so far the tests that offer that advice are not well proven or very precise. But with more data, we will learn more. Let's keep the data coming!''

-''Ive definitely learned a ton from my 23andme, and then there are third parties you can have analyze that data and can tell you other interesting things [that you should take with a grain of salt]. basically one of the reasons encrypgen needed to exist, plenty third parties already have my entire gnome because i had to upload it to use something''

Dr. Koepsell: ''and now you'll be able to use our partner sequencing.com to do analytics''

Will you have enough money for development?

Encrypgen has received half a million dollars in angel funding that is expected to last until mid-2018 before we start using ICO funds. We are a close, grass-roots team of very smart professionals that are determined to succeed.

How far along in development are you?

Encrypgen has been developing since late 2016. We are already using real sequenced DNA (with permission) for testing on our beta products.

Encrypgen stands out from most of the ICO projects in this space, because it came to market with a working prototype, and is making extraordinary progress. Meanwhile the MyGeneChain Platform is successfully launched

Why limit yourself to just the human species? What if grandma wants to save the DNA from her favorite kitten? Every species’ DNA will be available for upload and retrieval on the Gene-Chain.
i love that part
