Amazon never shows the length of the extenders. Does anyone know where to get the longer extenders at? A extra 2 inches makes a world of difference on these. It rarely allows me to use two extenders together. Anyone know the limiting factor on that?

Longer than what?  Huh

I got two 12" ones for £2 each off eBay.

There's normally about 7 1/2 inches. I bought some in the past that where longer but I don't remember the brand or anything.

They usually come in 20cm.  You can get 30cm (12inches) as well.

You "can" get longer ones and you "can" connect two 20cm together.  However the safest max length seems to be 30cm.  Longer than that and you have a good chance of getting HW errors.  The PCI-E is designed for direct contact with the motherboard in terms of distance.  The more you increase this distance the more chance of HW errors.
