Discord is the best source of info as imreal posted but as a quick summary:

Dev for the 'old' chain disappeared so the stuck chain issue is terminal unless he/she comes back.

A new hard forked chain is being started as POS only with masternodes to follow later.

Cryptobridge has agreed to list the 'new' NORT in place of the 'old' NORT.

1:1 coin swap of 'old' NORT for 'new' NORT. Original dev's premine will not be swapped.

Swap for coins held in local wallets have to be requested through the Community Manager on Discord. Any 'old' NORT on the exchange will be swapped by Cryptobridge.

New dev team is waiting for Cryptobridge to update their code which looks like being completed next week.

New chain is currently paused and will be restarted once the exchange is ready.

New dev team is very much active!

If the dev is active, how come nothing has been posted here about it? Tired of joining junk discords just for it to be a medium for spammers to try and steal from me, or try to beg me for coins.

Well, I'm not part of the dev team (either the old or the new), can't speak for them and don't know their marketing plans and how Bitcointalk features in those but, with respect to the Discord channel...

I've been on plenty with absent dev's which are just a host of spam ads for other coins or groups so know what you mean. The NORT Discord is as far from those as could be - no spam, a new active dev team and community.

If you hold 'old' NORT (on the stuck and abandoned chain) and want to swap them for 'new' NORT then Discord is the place to do it. Similarly if you have questions about the 'old' chain then everyone there was on it so can provide the answers. The channel is also the place to vote on developments for the new chain and see announcements.

The new chain was restarted today and 'new' NORT coins started to be sent out, the first staking rewards are being received now.
