RX560 at its extremes can reach till 12 MH/s with excessive overclocking.
I don't think RX550 can reach that hash rates ever.

RX 560 1024 shaders it's 15,2 MH/s and around 500 H/s in Cryptonight

How about this, if we talk about extremes?

I have 18 Asus RX 550 4GB cards. 16 can get 14.3 MH/s ETH and 400-450 H/s on cryptonight. The other two are 13.5 MH/s and 415 H/s.

All have been modded and overclocked.

The best part, all purchased for $90 - $100.

The math will look good and fascinates us at times, but also consider the amount of headache if you install 100 of these to get 100 x 12 = 1.2 Gh/s (ETH). The same can be achieved with lesser number of more powerful cards.
Many people had their rigs burnt and rooms catch fire because of overheating, burnt psu power cables etc..

When looking to invest in mining, the maintenance part is as important as the initial setup. Good luck

Burnt PSU power cables certainly won't happen with these cards, only on more powerful ones Wink

Also, these cards usually need only 1 PSU cable, while stronger ones need 2, sometimes 3

There are specific motherboards with onboard 16pcie slots exactly for a building a low profile cards mining computer. Up until now I have seen with up to 12 onboard 16pcie slots motherboard, so 12 of Rx 550 cards with modified bios can do the same as a computer with 6 rx 570 or 580 with the only difference you can run 12 of these with a simple 800 watt power supply.

You consume less energy with this setup, so for countries with high energy price this is a truly beautiful alternative for people who want to mine.

My two 9 card Asus RX 550 4GB rigs are the easiest to maintain. I do nothing, they just run. They don’t even get hot, I have several other RX 570/580 rigs that take way more work. Each 550 rig requires a single 850 watt platinum PSU. Not using SATA cables for the risers and the cards don’t require extra power. If I could get more for what I paid for these today ($90-$100 each) I would!

I have 14 RX550 and they are 12.5 to 12.8 each on the asus B250 mining expert.

can tweak some higher but thats the OC that keeps them all stable.
mem clock at 2100
and core clock at 1150
also used Polaris Bios Editor, I tried with the pro version but it just caused constant BSOD but free version did the timings for me then I slowly tweaked the cards with OverdriveNTool

For mining coins with the Ethash algorithm, the main thing is memory performance. GPU kernel gives a small gain of the hashrate, so if on the RX550 you have good memory, it is quite possible to reach 12 mh/s.
