CoinTracking--why is no gain reported for BCH fork from BTC?

I followed the directions for entering BCH received from the BTC fork precisely, but no gain is reported on the tax report. I tried both methods described (one BCH transaction for each BTC purchase before 8/1/2017; and a one-time "gift" of BCH)--neither produced any gain calculation. My BTC purchases are entered also according to instructions and I've checked this over many times. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any help.
