How does this affect us? That's like mentioning that people use SHA256.
It may not affect bitcoin largely but seeing that the gear that turns bitcoin's wheels can be used for something useful is really amusing and amazing to say the least. People might stumble in this article and ask, "what the heck is a blockchain?" then they'd be redirected to a multitude of articles and news relating to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It creates a small ripple of interest IMO, and it spreads to find greater answers to what seemed to be a normal article. Bitcoin is the first true application of a blockchain, and even if it's somehow
unrelated with how Walmart decides to use the tech, some search results would always lead to bitcoin and the crypto, so there's that.

Automation would be the number one help and application of the blockchain tech for large companies and services that require data sorting and management. Others would follow suit I guess, once Walmart deployed this and proved to be successful.
