Why? Even with escrow they are worth 0.

Seller: Offering escrow.
Buyer: Ok I'm in. *pays into escrow*
Seller: Sends transfer orders.
*escrow released*
*a few weeks pass*
Seller to payment processor: I never received order, refund it.
*payment processor forces refund*
BFL: WTF ONG Y U NO PAY I CANCEL ORDER NOW
Buyer: .....fuck.

You cant protect yourself against this, you're already in one scam, don't fall for it again.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

That's why you don't release the escrow until you have the goods in-hand.

Otherwise what's the point of escrow?

"All safe deposit boxes in banks or financial institutions have been sealed... and may only be opened in the presence of an agent of the I.R.S." - President F.D. Roosevelt, 1933

Because people believe BFL transfer is secure. In the same way they thought BFL purchases were secure?
