KYC for airdrops, KYC is a very important tool in business especially in crypto currency because it helps reduce scammers and allows project to know more about its investors or customers more, but implementing it in airdrops is not really a good implementation because airdrops will give you little stakes which don't worth the stress of KYC.

I don't ever give KYC for airdrops. There is no proceedings. I am not their customer or client. Why would they need to check my income and source of funds? It makes no sense at all.

KYC for airdrops, I strongly suggest or recommend that KYC should be removed from airdrops campaign, though KYC is a great tool in business and have been contributing positively in business am sure that is why it is introduced to crypto currency, though in crypto currency it has been a major hit because it helps reduce scammers and allows project to know who are investing in the project, but introducing it to airdrops is a no go areas for me.

I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.
You can always not participate in airdrops if you see that they need KYC on them. It the team that handles the airdrop will see that few participants are joining because of KYC, i think they would cancel out KYC in the future.

I have a negative attitude to KYC and try not to take part in such projects where KYC is required

He agrees with you. This procedure seems to me senseless too. I did not participate in airdrop long ago. But even when participated never provided for them the data.

What if the manager doesn't know that the participants should go through the KYC verification?
Sometimes the bounty manager doesn't know too and sometimes the manager should pass the KYC verification too to get his cut which wasn't in the agreement.
Usually for airdrops the amount of money that they send to participants is too low and most of the time there are thousands of people that apply and it doesn't worth to apply KYC for them.

KYC for bounty is acceptable. But for airdrop the things are not same. In recent days almost all the airdrops are scam. Even legit airdrops will give you no more than 5-10 USD per person. Then why do you risk your identity for such a small amount of tokens?

However, I see many bounty present at the start asking the participants to KYC to get the tokens, but then they changed this requirement to no KYC for the bounty hunter, I saw it as a Good news because the bounty does not need KYC as investment

this is lousy and are available to think about it that it's far simplest bounty advertising that you had been worried. you probably did now not buy their token at some point of the ico occasion may be they want verify the genuineness of your fund. however they claim they want to remove cheats in the device who has registered a couple of bills in order that the desire now not cheat others who have set up their attempt.

KYC is a good way to make money. The project team can then freely dispose of your data and even sell it.

I do not think that this is really happening, it is one of the most risky way how to get money. I know that you can sell everything on blackmarket, but IDs are less and less popular.

just for only if you need KYC then this will be the thing that they should not. What is accepted and what risks it brings is not comparable. the result of the airdrop many are not valued and if this alone need KYC certainly will not make sense. Maybe it is a good idea to avoid.

Well k. Y. C know your customer well it's a good security measures taken by bounty organisers well with know your customer the get to know the identity and nationality of the client well it is required in bounty campaign but I don't think it is necessary in airdrops

Well, governmental interference is increasing day by day and hence developers are required to make sure they get details of every token holder. Also, many projects are anticipating for future government interference and hence they resort to KYC. I think that's why KYC has become rampant in the cryptospace.

I really agree with you, Most ICO collects KYC because the exchanges normally requires it for them to be listed, and this more reason why we need decentralized exchanges, once decentralized exchanges takes over the space, the demand for KYC will vanish

If KYC is needed for a bounty and I already completed months of work then I think I wouldn't have other choice then to send my personal data, however, airdrops are currently a bit lame and I don't think sending that kind of info is worth it at the end.

Yes, I also do not try to pass kyc in airdrop , I think it is certainly necessary to recheck the project, especially when your documents can then be merged

I have never participated in an air drop, but on the basis that there is a lot of negative information about this kind of earnings, I will categorically oppose the provision of personal data in an air drop.
