Howdy everyone -- can't post in the regular forums yet (was going to ask in Doggie's thread), so I thought I'd both say hi and ask here.   I've been working quite a bit with the new Blade Erupters, but one of my blades doesn't seem to work.  I've tried the following:

1) Moved it to other backplane slots that I've had working blades in.  No joy.  Huh
2) Moved it from the backplane to a regular molex connector that is working with an older version blade.  Still no joy.  Cry
3) Did a hardware reset and ran through the two above tests. No j....  Angry
4) Put a multi-meter on it, and zeros.

I'm working with the vendor to get a replacement, but that won't happen before tomorrow, so does anyone have anything else they could suggest?  Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,
~N

I suggest you wait till tomorrow. You seem to have tried everything already.

BTW, what is the Backplane for? I never got that so I want to know what it is for. Thanks

It's just a 10 slot circuit board that the V2 models can plug into.  It's cleaner then building your own mounting gear and makes the wiring a lot easier IMHO.  No real technical advantage I suppose, but I like it.

You can't buy that on its own isn't it? I only see it come with it if you get 10 Blades of the same order.

I've seen a few on eBay, but I wouldn't spend the money just for the convenience, especially if you've already got things up and running.
