I support that initiative, although it could be necessary to restrict visibility of the "reported" tag to avoid abuse, or at least to show the tag in a very decent fashion, using the same font and color as the "report to moderator" link. It could be a good idea to publicly show simply the number of users that have reported it - e.g. "Report to moderator (1)".
Good idea. It also makes the mods' jobs transparent too and make both users and mods aware that both should be working together to make this forum better.
It also opens the possibility on why some low quality threads with 1 million pages and with FULL of spam are still allowed to live.
I would also like to be able to ignore entire threads so they don't appear in the forum categories for me. So people could also selectively hide the "grey area" between spam and normal forum posts (most "megathreads" are "only" 95-99% spam, but annoying). But it may be a good idea to discuss that in a separate thread.
Good suggestion. I hope some mods would join in and share their opinions.
