Hey guys,

I think this could be really big, but I am no good at marketing and I can't seem to drive home sells.  I am putting both the domain and all the back end up for auction.  I spend several days programming the system and I will be more than happy to help the buyer set up the site for themselves.

I have uploaded proof of ownership to the site: http://bitscratchers.com/owner.txt

I have made about .6 BTC in profit off the site since its launch about a week and a half ago.  I have not had any new players in the past few days though.

Starting bid is 1 BTC.  The auction will end five days from now.  (The 22th)

Provably fair is a big problem.  No game is fair as the house always has an edge.  The only thing you can prove is the house has the same edge that they say they have.  I don't list the house edge as I change it often, and so there is no point in a provably fair system.

Its as fair as buying real scratch tickets, which is what I am trying to emulate with the ods.

I would be willing to implement a provably fair system if thats what the buyer wants, though I personally do not use one.  The buyer will be the one to set their own ods and how "fair" the system is.

Provably fair = proof that the results are not rigged, not proof that odds are 50%.

As in the results are not changed after you purchase?  That is trivial to implement.  Infact, I will implement that now.

You should add a countdown timer. I'll be watching this.

You could look up at the search for timer,  there was a decent one implemented via image posting.

The idea looks good but the execution is not , you made 0.6 from it but decided to sell it for 1 ? If it looks too good to be true , its not.

It's always better to know when the auction is ACTUALLY ending, without extensions etc.

Take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=285166.0 - It will show you how to add a countdown timer.

You don't have to edit the post just put a timer in a new reply.

Don't message a mod. Auctions are suppose to be uneditable, they will just tell you to post a new reply. Auctions are suppose to remain unedited to prevent details and promises from being changed. Also, bids etc.

I always find these things a bit wary as you could be making it up to bump the price, but I might bid, gotta see how many coins I can spare right now.

I know, that's why I don't like to include them.  I can provide proof of the bid though, if anyone wants me to.  (With the name blurred out.)

What browser are you using?  I checked and all tickets are marked as played.  Someone even won a payout.

Yeah, sorry, it works now. I thought it was waiting for the payment to come through, not to confirm. I won my bet back, =P.

Are you willing to help buyer with domain transfer and moving the site to a new host/taking over hosting so that it can keep running after purchase? Feel free to explain how you see the sale process after payment.

Also, while we're asking questions, how easy would it be to edit certain values? I.e, lower or increase the max and minimum bet.

Editing values would be extremely easy.  You can change all the prizes, max and min prizes, and max and min bets.  Its all stored as variables in the PHP backed.  It really would be no trouble at all.

Yes, I will help with transfer and make sure the site is 100% working for the new provider.  Once the site is sold I will arrange to have the domain transferred to the new provider and help them set up all the code on the new host.  I will also keep the site running until we are done with the transfer, and the owner will receive any profits made during this time.

Interesting. I might be able to gather some funds soon (I'd need funds for the bankroll too), so I might offer, however I'm not sure if it'll be in time. Good luck to whoever might get it!

Auction ended.  Sorry Salty, but it ended at a few hours before your bid.

The site has sold to an anonymous buyer.  I am contacting him/her and if it falls through I will sell to SaltySpitoon.

Thanks all.
