Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Actually the price up or down is influenced by demand and supply so that if demand is more then the price will rise. so in my opinion there is no way to know what will happen to market prices in the future

For trading Altcoins I use RSI or Relative Strength Index, it tells you if the Altcoin or Token is Oversold or Overbought. You can read all about it here but if the price breaks the oversold line or overbought line it doesn't mean that's a signal to Buy or Sell, it just tells you that its more likely that there will be a reversal of the trend.

For bitcoin it seems to be hard to predict the prices because things are getting manipulated in many ways now. There was time when we could easily say that bitcoin will be equal to XYZ prices within these months and that months.

Now is the time we are facing many development issues such as scale up of the blockchain which can help the way we transact. These things really matter because this defines ultimate inflow of the investment or investors. The more quality services you get the more people attract here. Currently the scenario seems to be draining the bitcoin market cap. Prices might not be easy to predict for bitcoin now.

But for the alt coins I think this one explains in good way :

However I have not checked the sources, but he seems to be reasonable.

The best tools you can use is Fibonacci Retracement. There are many tutorials nowadays using Youtube just type in the search menu the Fibonacci retracement and sure you will be re-directed. Here's the sample link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsomgrotZUg. From there you can get the price estimation for selling or buying. VEry useful tool and effective it is commonly use by expert trader.

some people do technical analysis and believe they can predict the price, but I don't advice you to do that ,of course knowledge is better than ignorance, but don't plan your trade only on technical base.
