Hi, I'm having trouble understanding this.
Do I need to code in order to write a smart contract?

If you want to become a developer, you need to be tutored by a blockchain oriented developer. I advice you contact a developer for mentorship  instead of trial by error.

it's just a kind of programming, you don't need mentor, advisor or any other kind of insight, just open tutorials and spend some time.
