Not sure of an auction house for bitcoins but I know there is an online food store that deals with BTC and then there's my trading card shop... a google search or three might help you better.

biddingpond.com, though don't expect to get market rate through the site just yet - there really isn't enough trust/market yet.  Too many people with 0 feedback selling stuff means that things get sold cheap.

Try the listing on http://bitcoin-otc.com/

That's a marketplace for goods sold via bitcoins through the #bitcoin-otc IRC channel.  There is a reputation system for buyer/seller feedback as well.

Biddingpond and Bitcoinhop are the best auctions for bitcoin I have seen. I made one, playing around, but it's not as nice. I really like the clean simple layout designs they produced.
Bitcoinworldmarket.com just opened. It's like amazon for bitcoins.

Bitcoin-otc.com looks really cool. I just think it needs more pictures. Pictures can sometimes do all the selling.

a fully fledged BitCoin auction site would be alot of work.  If your thinking eBay standards (and everyone does).  But if someone gets in early it would probably have a pretty big future.

Has anyone tried something like craigslist?  I usually buy and sell video games using craigslist just because it saves money from the ebays/paypals of the world.  But I really haven't seen much activity when searching for "bitcoin" on craigslist.  Guess its not popular enough yet?

I'm looking to sell stuff online too, but it sucks when you just start and now one can trust you, so how you do to make business?
