I have been thinking how to utilise my merits in the most constructive way possible and I came up with this idea.

What I will be giving merits for : -

1.Finding Alt accounts on the forum and reporting them in the suggested format in this thread: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III

(Note : Merits will only be given if the connection has solid proof and is accepted by the maintainer of the thread )

• Amount of merits given will depend on the number of accounts successfully reported and your rank.Basically this is ideal for newbies who wish to rank up by contributing constructively to the forum.

2.Reporting ICO's/accounts which are using thread bump services and bumping threads in the AltCoin Ann Section: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts]

(Note : Merits will only be given if the reported account is banned/temporary banned by a forum moderator thereby considering it as a successful report)

• Bonus merit points considering the time and efforts put in to find the shill accounts.

3.Reporting accounts abusing the Merit system: Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0

(Note : Merits will only be given if the reported abuse is verified and accepted by the maintainer of the thread)

• Amount of merits given will depend on the number of abuses successfully reported and your rank.

4.Reporting spammers/rule breakers/bounty cheaters: List: Spammers, rule breakers and exclusive bounty users

(Note : Merits will only be given if the reported abuse is verified and accepted by the maintainer of the thread)

• Amount of merits given will depend on the number of abuses successfully reported and your rank.


How to claim your merits : -

• Simply report your post in the following format

(Note : Please don't post links to the relative url's ,all links must redirect to your post which you think is eligible for merit)

What if I run out of merit points to distribute : -

• Ideally,I would expect other members to also give merits to the links posted here so their merits can also be utilised in a way which encourages newbies/members to participate actively in the forum.
• Worst case scenario,I would lock the thread until I have earned enough merit points to begin distributing again.

Prerequisites: -
• Newbies/Jr Members/Member/Full Members are encouraged to participate as you are likely to get good number of merit points of the good work.
• Posting links here doesn't guarantee you will get the merits.Your links should be verified by the maintainers of the thread and result in a successful action.However if I feel you have taken enough efforts in putting things together,I'll merit you anyway.
• Please don't post any reports here.This thread will only serve as a gateway to show your efforts put in a particular thread.I would not analyse reports posted here and there is less chance of you getting merits.
• If you have any doubts or not sure if your post in the above threads are eligible for merits ,post it, I'll check it anyway.

I respect your effort and keenness on the forum but I don’t think the merit system is made for that. "increase high-quality pots and reduce spam"

Someone who is farming and abusing bounties with 50-100+ member accounts doesn't give a fuck about merit system and quality of his posts.

This will motivate users to find abusers, cheaters, report spam, scam etc = less spam and scam.

Where else would you submit them ? I don't encourage people opening new threads for  similar topics.If there is something different you wish to report which doesn't fall under above mentioned cases,you can post the link to the report in this thread.

Some people might not just  be good at writing high quality posts or maybe they won't get any merits for their post regardless of how constructive it is.In that case,such threads are a nicer way to contribute to the forum and earn merits.

I once reported a user and his threads were removed too.
I directly reported in mail to moderator and got positive response too (That his started threads were removed).
Will I am eligible for merit, If require I can personally pm that mail as evidence.
I am bit susceptible in publishing in open to avoid any kind to retaliation.

Honestly it's too much of an effort to verify those personal emails as 1.It invades your privacy 2.Time consuming.However,I will do it for now.Please message me with the email content along with the senders email/name so I can have it verified from them.

1.That is a rare event.Also why do you think someone will take efforts in creating new accounts,bumping-shitposting from them and again create new accounts to report it ? Just for couple of merit points ?

Thanks a lot for supporting the cause.I will distribute the merit points on case-by-case basis.For instance,a post connecting  10 alt accounts will be given more merit points than that of a connecting 2 Alt accounts.Roughly I'm planning to distribute anything between the scale of 1-10 per post depending on the quality and effort put in.

That doesn't look like a successful report to me..The user has copied parts from one of his post to other which is conditionally okay I guess.Anyway I'll let the thread maintainer (@Welsh) to take a stance on that post.

Still un-moderated - still hunting scammers and their alts.

After this round of additions to the Google Spread Sheet, I will no longer be giving out my merits to anyone who doesn't fulfill the basic requirement of using the Submission Form *and* including a note (good, bad, or indifferent) on the trust walls of the UID's they identify.

As mentioned in this post from a few days ago I have been giving Merit points to anyone who submits connections in the Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List ^{Mk III} https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.0 thread.  The only requirements are

• Use the correct Submission Form
• Ensure that your connections are valid; you can't suspect a connection - prove it!
• Give the Alts Red Paint ^TM (ie negative trust) - Not a DT - *you* give the UID's Red Paint ^TM

I am regularly in the Most generous recent merit senders and Most generous merit senders, all time lists.
