Everything most not be seen, touch and use physically before we believe it suppose to be valuable. Bitcoin have the greatest usage as far as modern financial technology is concern. Bitcoin is here to ease every traditional financial stress. So expect to value to grow higher.

Rather, Bitcoin appears to have value for the following reasons: It is popular.

that is just your opinion.

anything has value for its utilities. Gold has value not because it is physical but because it has usages. same as anything else.
bitcoin is a decentralized currency and that is its usage and what's giving it value.

I don't Think that it has a value  not only because of popularity. yes It certainly has no tangible presentation like Gold but it has a value. You can purchase things and stuff from GOLD we as well as from bitcoin why? BECAUSE IT HAS A VALUE.

It depends on the environment.

Can you elaborate what you mean that it depends on the environment?

Some Non-sense person. but to answer this thread. Bitcoin is a decentralized monetary that has no physical tangibles like Gold or Silver. but still have a value, how can I say ? because we can purchase from it not necessary directly using Bitcoin but as you exchange it to your local Currency you can still purchase stuff you want.
