According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Basically, adding a reply just to make the thread appear at the top of the list, although you can only do it once per day.

You can search on google info about pool, mining stuff and so on.
If you are rich, you can mine 1 btc / day, but usually most people have a low equipment and take months to mine a btc.

yeah GPU hashing is not economical anymore, its ASIC's now, still wont get an ROI (return on investment) though, I have 8 GH with erupters running on raspberry pi.

I have ~16.5GH/s between a blade and some BEs I got a good deal on.

I get around .07-.08 coins a day, and I do not pay for electricity. You will probably not break even if you start mining now, unless you get a good deal on ASIC hardware.

Please DO NOT send me private messages asking for help setting up GPU miners. I will not respond!!!
