In the process of purging this thread. Come on people, I don't care if you fud or have unpopular ideas, as long as they are at least somewhat on topic.
Seriously. The fact that I had to subscribe to this thread so that I could proactively moderate it speaks volumes.

If you see an off-topic post (this post excluded, since this has become bad enough that I feel that this post is necessary) PLEASE just report it. DO NOT REPLY! The moderation team is quite sick of spending over 30% of their time babysitting you guys. If you get a PM that says that your post was deleted by a moderator (not the starter of the thread), take it seriously. I'm tired of this crap.
Why was my post deleted when all I did was contest an inflammatory and derogatory post by Crumbs? Not sure why I should be getting a slap on the wrist for doing nothing wrong.

Hey Vince,  the dates you offered have the sample chips arriving 1 day after Ken announced we were hashing with 'other resources'.

You're assuming "other resources" means easic chips, I don't think it does, I think it's more likely to be some fast hash 80's which are avalon clones.

I respectfully disagree, we had all 10,000 of our Avalon chips refunded. All the hashing power that is accounted for at the moment are 6 avalons and 68 klondikes. The only other hashing resources we could possibly have (unless 3rd party hardware was bought and not announced, which would be a majorly stupid and deceptive move) are our own chips.

Ken is known to have been working on FH80's so the 1.6TH of the avalons/klondikes isn't the only known hashing power. We don't know if Ken managed to pick up some chips from somewhere or what really. It would only take about 4000 avalon chips to make up the difference in hashrate.

Don't get me wrong, I hope like hell it's eASIC chips, but I'm not here for a circle wank nor to get my hopes up.

I estimated sample chip delivery as being on 11th October, as the earliest possible date.

Ozymadias estimated sample chip delivery between 11th October and 18th October.

By your own supposition you had conservatively estimated sample chip delivery as being 31st October.  There are only 20 days between these three estimates.

We know that Ken informed us that we were hashing with 'other resources' on 30th October.

If the 'other resources' Ken mentioned were indeed the eASIC sample chips then the range of 11th October - 31st October fits very well indeed if we just bring your estimation forward a few days.

If they were not sample chips then whatever chips they were would have arrived coincidentally, within that same twenty day window.

My hopes are up!  Smiley

EDIT:  If this is not the case, then looking back at our timeline, the only solid information we have is from 4th September which was the eASIC press release.  In which case ANYTHING is a possibility.

My problem with this is the announced delay... for "intellihash" whatever sorcery that is.

This quote , or someone else, might help clear up the Klondike question.

Those chips could also be Klondike, not necessarily the new eASICs.

Do you know what the estimated hashrate for the Klondikes was?

I might be naive, but wasn't it 307 GH/s?

"An order of Avalon chips from steamboat's batch #1, for 68 Klondike-16 boards, rated at 68*16*282 = 307 GH/s;"

Exactly. That leaves over 2.5TH unaccounted for from "additional resources", and i doubt they're from the Klondikes.

+1

I can't think of any other reason than these are our chips...

Unless we're all being morons yet again.

We were told in the Progress Update from two weeks ago that the 'chips are going to be late'.

In terms of the Intellihash sorcery (first rule of Intellihash...  Wink), I agree, understanding how that might affect us is total guess work, although Ozymandias seemed fairly confident that it might be a two week delay. Perhaps he, or someone with knowledge might be able to discuss this further.

Ken on IRC said he was going to be ellbows-deep in code for two weeks. Right after the end of that period, Christmas is coming up and I doubt he and everyone else in the chip/miners/assembly chain is working full force.

So, realistically it will be mid-to end-January.

There will be people working full-force, but wouldn't it be safe to be conservative and assume that someone in the chain will not be? I don't think it is necessarily an excuse to assume mid-late January for normal volume production.

We have little facts (i.e. third party verified information) unless you take what Ken says at face value. If you do, then I recommend reading the latest posts in the Announcement thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=297543.0 and bookmark the last posts of Active-Mining PR here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=142728;sa=showPosts as that will give you just about all of the info that is out there. This thread is total shit and will hopefully be closed/deleted in the near future as it's doing nothing but hurting our image.

Stay in the loop.
Read this wonderful thread daily.
The most recent asking price is 1128 bitcoin for all the shares I own.
Do you have 1128 bitcoins?
(0.0067456 bitcoin per share)

I have changed my mind, because you show so little faith in Ken, for you the price is .007 bitcoin per share.

LorenzoMoney... is your selling offer still valid and was it 0.00075BTC per share?

You know im asking to buy... i dont see little faith in that. Thats no buying price anymore.

I already own many shares. A higher price is good for me the other way around then... Speaking about faith... i wasnt the one trying to sell low... Smiley

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.
