I have sent a message to 796.com about setting up ActiveMining there.  This could be a stop gap solution until we could do a colored coin client or an Alt coin solution.

nice, please keep us informed.

ken, do you have funds stashed away to help along development of colored coins?

Yes, we have funds if needed for development.

for none US, are you willing to hand over your info to Weexchange which is in USA, in there FAQ, they are required by law to have your detail to do some exchanges, but others service dont require, but reality right now, bitfunder wants you to hand over your info, so therefore your info can be accessed by gov too,  thats what i believe and feel.

vote if we should migrate to havelock, 796 looks unproffessional, had hard time understanding how stocks listed there, kinda messy.

i vote havelock

I vote Havelock or 796. Any platform to trade on at this point would be great.

Why?  Have we not learned that a central point of failure is NOT a good idea by now?  The only answer is colored coins or direct shares.

Take a look at this regarding Havelock:

We have discussed with our lawyers our situation and options for us to proceed in setting up Havelock as a long-term viable enterprise.  We are now pursuing these options, but cannot provide a firm time frame as of now.  We were hoping that we could be more specific but this is all the information we can provide at this time.

It is inevitable that Havelock and every other exchange will eventually follow suit

I truly believe an Activemining coin alt-coin would be our best short to mid range solution. This would open us to to being able to trade on any of the other alt-coin trading sites, as well as private trades amongst share holders. I believe other securities would follow suit shortly after as well.

Oh plz plz plz make Activecoin!  Why didn't Labcoin think of oh wait...

Seriously, i think that's the best idea!  Me & you, Sou -- brilliant, unique, forward-thinking!  We'll take ActM places no one has even *dreamed of* yet, and leave it there to fend for itself, without a warm coat or bus fare home.

any none US user of bitfunder, are you willing to hand over your details and upload documents to Weexchange to get verified?

if so, is it becuase you are trading fiat or just dont mind giving them?

how big is your trust with your details with Weexchange?  i.e your info can be passed to some one, i have not seen yet there is privacy agreement.

edit: to clarify the upload thing, after reading the FAQ, u need to write down your address , then uploading a document showing properly your name and address, maybe bank statement, or bills statement?

meh all this just for transfer bitcoins,? we r slowly becoming from anon to known, and labcoin is smilling right now i bet

A solution is being worked on now; there are multiple to choose from. For US citizens that wish to remain on BF i may be able to act as a proxy for you as i am not in the US.

that wont work, becuase Weexchange will want individuals documentation uploaded and should match contact details, your service will not work.

becuase BF and Weex are linked togther, they properly have mechanism to indentify conflicting ip connections.

well he might proxy BF, but not Weex,  is becoming now more confusing Tongue

I thought he meant that he would hold shares on your behalf. So your not connecting or anything but issuing your buy/sell orders to him and he executes them on his account.

Yes this. Holding the shares on your behalf. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in the service, but it's up for discussion.

He would probably take a yearly management fee or something, to make it worthwhile.

im not getting feedback from your thought guys.

if you hand down your documents to Weex , which will technically be in US soil, what are the risk, considering current goverment situation and all the mess.

in FAQ its required by law to hand your info in, to use the service which is now not free, i assume this customer details will be passed to gov, or any body.

what are the risk? what if other country follow hunting down securities, and your details from weex get leaked and u get a visit or letter.

what r the risk, think, things messy now.

on top of that, i hear martial law, comet ison incoming, fema, dollar collapse,  think the risk.

im not US, for ur info

Sigh, more shenanigans as a result of US dumbassery. I find myself more ashamed of the country of my current residence every day.

I know, I'm looking into Dual Citizenship options, it seems like I will be leaving the US at some point in the future wether I want to or not. I will have more economic opportunities elsewhere. Wow, thats sad to say. Sad
