Do you think BTC and other coins that are major, their average prices are held by the Whales. Who really control the market?
they let it move or at least trigger buy and sell reactions from investors.

they know they could bring BTC to 1 dollar if they want, but wont cause too much is at stake?

your thoughts?

There is no evidence that "whales" control any markets, but obviously if they buy or sell large amounts, they cannot avoid affecting the market in at least a small way.

even if this were true how is it different from those oil producing companies who openly limit or increase oil production to determine market price ? . if by whales you mean the persons who hold majority of bitcoins then those persons logic would suggest would do whats best for bitcoins as it would mean that there investment is huge and they would stand to loose the most . point is this an investment is a monetary asset that you purchase with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future, (over time) or will be sold for a higher price for a profit , detractors of bitcoins behave and are trying to sell the idea that its a get rich quick scheme in an effort to hurt its public image , if the price goes down so what, it will rise again as has been its trend since its creation . we are suppose to gain value over time and not overnight as these detractors of bitcoins are trying to cement in our minds .

True, big whales / big players have intervened to tear apart crypto prices in the market in this quarter and bitcoin is their main target since december 2017.
It's not hard for them to drop the bitcoin to the lowest level for example $ 1 because to my knowledge they have a total of 40% bitcoin.

There is no evidence that "whales" control any markets, but obviously if they buy or sell large amounts, they cannot avoid affecting the market in at least a small way.

It was difficult to provide proof with detail, but in theory it makes perfect sense if they really have done it, together Tether who has launched his FUD attacks in various media.

Yes the big whales can control the price for a short time. But then other whales will take that chance to buy dip/ sell high and the price will move as it should be.

Yes, big investors are the ones who control the market, they can drive bitcoin prices in the market as well as other altcoins, up or down.

But they will not be able to control the market while bitcoin users are more, meaning when investors want to make bitcoin prices down, but if the volume of spreads and bitcoins is low, then they can not do it.

so, I think they do not fully control the market. and even a market that will control large investors, if the krypto world has become legal.

And they can also be syncing up their purchases for maximum profit. Though I don't think that is all enough to explain the current price. It could be that this is the new normal and the peak last December was the anomaly.

The whales indeed have a chance to drop the market if they dump their massive coin.

Whales can only control the price of a market with small volume like most of altcoins but they cannot control a cryptocurrency price if it has a huge volume or if it has lots of investors like Bitcoin but since cryptocurrency prices are determined by the demand and supply, of course whales can still affect the price to drop if they will sell all of their coins and that can also be a cause for small investors to have fear that the price will continue to fall and will decide to also sell their coins, this is why whales play a major role in all kinds of market.

If the whales have the ability to manipulate the price of btc then what they are doing is I think have a good reasons. It's also normal that price in the market should not be stable so that buying and selling will continue for purpose of being fair to other coins/altcoins.

Yup whales who are almost 31% of whole BTC may manipulate the crypto market, when they wish to lower the price they start selling their BTC in huge amount as a result of which BTC price starts falling, demand reduced. When the price is at low level they start buying BTC in huge amount as a result of which price start increasing with increasing demand. As a whole it can not be fully attributed to big whales, there other certain factore which affect BTC price. But yes Whales can also manipulate BTC price.

Of course those big investors are capable of controlling the market. They can decline its price in the world market and the Altcoins rise. There are some users who can not control the market. If the investor often wants to reduce its price, then the bitcoin volume is low. So in my opinion they can not completely control the market.

We can say that those who have money and control the market, but with the market crypto is not so simple, it is very much affected by the news, but with time this will provide less and less pressure on the market.
