Expedia- The company that provides ticketing services for huge travel services, has issued a notice to stop accepting payment by Bitcoin for flights or hotels.
An Expedia spokesman confirmed the announcement and said it was effective June 10 and apologized for the inconvenience.

Interesting... I am not sure how I feel about it. Will there be a better solution in the future?

Expedia being a big and giant company in the travel industry and i am sure that it might have affected heavily to those people who were interested in traveling through the bitcoins. There are still people in the world who would love to travel through Bitcoin transactions rather than cash or any other payment mode. I doubt whether they might not introduce any crypto coin for the traveling industry which might be a big investment for their business. Let's see what it does in coming weeks.

Steam which is the largest digital gaming store have done that too but it was just nothing. It's just the other bad news where these companies joined the hype back in December and now that bitcoin is down, they removed it completely.

This is probably because of the decline in value of the bitcoin. Its volatile nature can surely cause some loss for the company.

Merchants realize the system does work at all.  With Lightning being all fucked up, nobody wants to use bitcoin for anything other than Ponzi.
