Because there are lots of people who are becoming depress and couldn't handle their emotion,
Lots of people suffering from problem that they think that they couldn't solve or surpass and the only way that they could think of is suicide.

There is another reason why the suicide rates are higher in the urban areas. In the cities, the individuals are more likely to be staying away from their relatives and the human interaction may be less. But in the rural areas, there is more interaction with the friends and relatives.

Yeah i agree with your sentiment, bullying in schools and on social media are most of the reasons why people decide to commit suicide and i think we also don't have a better mental health program  to try and dissuade most suicidal people as well.
