Do you have any stats to back up your claim. Threads like this are frustrating, because they usually start by, the OP knows someone who committed suicide, thus to him it means that suicides are on the increase.

I also think that he's making this up. I haven't seen any statistics showing that the rates are increasing. I've been looking at Europe specifically. The economical situation of most countries is not that bad and technology is getting cheaper and more available with cheaper phones, internet, computers. If you can find some statistics showing increasing rates please post them.

I would disagree with this statement too, or what it implies at least.

To be honest : "suicide cases" are probably increasing all over the world due to the global population number who's growing.

Suicide proportionnally to the population ... in % i mean. Not sure at all.

Altho, you have to look at the part of the population : suicides for youngsters doesnt have the same causes/meaning thn for old ppl (just a thought).

People cannot contain or bear what is happening around him and in himself he seems uncontrollable that he can't do something about it, emotional and mental problem seem to be the main target of this suicidal thoughts.. but what' most unbearable to them is they seems to be alone fighting it and there's no one out there who can't really understand and care for them, in this situation we need to be more in dealing with them because this is a very sensitive issue that we have to loving and sincere enough in communicating with them.

A number of my friends and close relatives have committed suicide over the past 10-15 years. And interestingly, almost all of them were deeply religious. They tried to find solace in the religion initially. But when it failed, they decided to end their lives.

Many of the problems faced by someone will cause depression which of course if the person is not able to handle with depression that person experienced, will likely lead to suicide attempts. Because perhaps from one's thinking,ending the life will solve the problem they are facing.

I agree. But one of the most important reasons why the suicide cases are increasing is due to the fact that the human interactions are getting reduced. Earlier, the families used to be tight-nit and a lot of actual interaction used to happen. But nowadays the families are getting more nuclear and the interactions have shifted to the digital space.

   Japan has one of the highest suicide levels in the world. It says that high technologies and strict rules make people to live unnormal perverted lifes. Many of them become isolated emotionaly, they use to have digital relationships instead of real, some of them never leave their home - hikikomori (they even created new term for it).
   What I mean is that not poverty cause suiside usually, really poor people have not suiside tendency. Someone who survives focused on real life while mentally unstable people are going to dead end by having silly hobbies and useless beleives

Nowadays, we can hear a lot of news about suicide and the most common news a heard was teenagers. Number 1 is the depression, because of the struggles that they are facing in school,family and most especially in their special someone. Just recently in our country I saw a post that a teenager boy committed suicide because the girl left him and he cannot contain the pain that's why he decided to end his life. For me, if parents and children are open to each other, and if that thing comes they can open to their parents and the parents will explain to him/her why its happening.

Dissapointments and making big mistakes in life lead people to commit suicide. People who have suicidal thoughts think  they death is the only solution for their problems. However, there is always other solutions. People fell miserable and they commit suicide . These are reasons of inreasing suicide rates.
