I would love to see ASIC for Equihash  Grin Grin would be problematic if eth goes PoS. That would mean the two strongest (most hashrate) blockchains are gone, where would all the miners mine? Thats an nightmare scenario.. Would kill alt mining.

it is my understanding that x16r is just hashing with existing known algos and rotating the order occasionally.    However if every one of the algos they are switching around have asics, can't they just make a 'super asic' that slaps all the various algo chips onto a board

Yes, this is the core of cryptos: decentralization

But most people are very, very greed and don't care about this, only money matters

It's funny and sad at the same time to see people defend cryptos, because it's againt bankers, government etc and them buy Asics, huge farms and supports that kind of coins
The history repeats no matter what

Wow sums it up perfectly.   Hate to be the doom an gloom guy,  but im 99% sure there is an asic out for
Ethereum already,  just look at the Ethereum difficulty rate jump for that past 2 months, in the middle of a
GPU shortage.  Roll Eyes

the order rotates randomly based on the last few characters of the last hash of the block. rvn is prepared to alter the 16 algorithms or add algorithms with even the slightest threat of an asic.
