Hi, talkers.

I want to tell you about one potential scam ICO - Asseta. You can read about it in these threads:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2817414 - ANN
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2817582 - BOUNTY

Why scam would ask you? I will tell you about reasons why I think so.

1. Asseta team doesn't like answer questions about their project, just check threads above. Admin hasn't been answered from 5th to 17th Feb and returned with link to Medium "Tarantino movies like" post about some guy who blackmailed team and wanted 5 ETH for keeping silence. Sound stupid, right? And Asseta erase his email on screen shots. Why did they do it, people should know hackers by sight.
Link to article is here: https://medium.com/@asseta/asseta-is-a-scam-the-whole-story-the-proofs-and-the-individuals-behind-the-slander-335a10be0c31

2. Starting from 2 Feb team received 16 000 ETH according to their site:  http://ico.asseta.eu. But how did they do it, if they don't have enough of advertising and have 287 followers on Twitter and don't have even Facebook page.

OK, lets check their wallets.
First one
Second one

And what do we see? No funds, low amount of transactions. Where is 16000 ETH? Guys invest to ICO using bank transfer, seriously?

3. Let's look to their Linkedin profiles. Firstly, not all of team members have links to their accounts. One link is broken, good point for perspective ICO project: http://ico.asseta.eu/www.linkedin.com/in/erik-harma-054096157

The rest part has only Linkedin profiles information. Look at their CEO Lukas Zaranka.

Seems not impressive for CEO of bank payment ICO. Let's check information about these companies.

First is SKOLESKA LT

Company with 300 EUR debt - niiice. Next one is VARTWA. 950 EUR debt, sounds better, right?

And the last: official registered legal name of Asseta - Crypto Bankas

0 employees.. Asseta team, teach me how to work without employees. PM please.

All other guys have poor record of service, their advisors include several lawyers and that's all..

4. During bounty campaign Asseta decided.. to giveaway IPhone X. Is it ICO or joke?

5. Their official company "site" is a typical one-pager. Senior developer will make it for half a day.

6. And the last: they don't show their faces.. No photos, videos with any persons. Asseta has only two demo videos on their YouTube channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr_FHKV9W8YRHisGVKqNTUA. And these guys received 16K ETH ? Don't lie to me.

In the end I want to say Thanks to cautious guys who helped me to detect that dangerous ICO. And want to quote my favorite actions movies actor: "BULLSHIT!" This word completely describes Asseta.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

LMAO at the bank with 300 euros debt.

Nice work on the due diligence and I hope this serves as a lesson to all to be skeptical and do some research.

Thanks detective  Grin Cool
I didn't see any famous websites which make reviews about that ico. They receive funds to eth address at the begining and receive funds to another smart contract address now. I took part in Asseta bounty but have fineshed because they don't answer on simple questions in forum thread.

The first red flag i detected was that in their articles bounty if you wrote an article for them no matter the quality you are given 200 stakes/points right away,i mean who doesn't care about the quality of articles that is written for their ico?And the telegram page has like 65 members of which i'm sure 99% are bounty hunters.Anyway, thanks for the indepth headsup

Thanks for the detailed analysis and due diligence. When a project seems abandoned with no real development, it is a red flag. Even if it is not a scam, the coins will be shitcoins as it is just cash grab.

Thanks for the heads up, this would alarmed  anyone (investors and bounty hunters) about the ICO. Investors would not lose any amount of money and Bounty hunters would not lose time and effort in  promoting this ICO.

Thank you so much for the info. I encoutered this project here on the forum before. I tried to find their facebook page and they didnt have one. I did a search and barely found any info about them so I skipped. I was amazed with your detailed research. So many flaws. Glad I did not spend any time nor money on them. Apreciate your research! Great work and nice of you to share it with us.

Thanks for your warning. So, we have learned today, that Linkdln account can't guarantee anything about legit ICO. To define great ICO, there are many things to do. I like your investigation, and maybe I should follow your mechanism.

You are right. I haven't mentioned it but it's true: there are no any reliable rating site which rates that ICO. Asseta wrote about this one: https://icoholder.com/en/asseta-17768 but it's not famous site to be honest. They are not presented at icorating.com which is trustworthy from my point of view. They are also presented at https://icobench.com/ico/asseta and rating is 3.4...

I agree - content should have value dependent on quality. Otherwise it should be a reason to worry.

Now this ASSeta starters closed forum topics.
Their 'ICO' also closed.
1. If they are liars (about funds rised) - it is a SCAM. But not so successful.
2. If they really get all that amount trough bank payments - I think it's money laundering.

All info about 'team' removed from web-site.

So, I think moderators should block all people connected with this project forever here.

Some scammers are manipulating the result of their ico, I remember about that. These scammers said it has been touching hardcap to make all of the accusations becomes biased. It looks like these scammers are trying to fool us again.
That makes some people invested in the ico but not for touched the hardcap and they are bullshit.

True Crypto Detective, congratulations for the excellent research. It is very clear that it was a scam. And there are several out there like that, but if the community is making this kind of research the scammers will have less and less success.

Thank you for appreciation. I was glad to share results of my investigation and maybe I saved somebody from being involved into this scam.
