Hello everyone, I am new in "Cryptocurrency-mining", so I have a question for more advanced miners! Wink

I build up a strong machine for Unreal Engine 4 dev, but ppl told me I should use it for mining.. So i start with EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner 0.3.4b , with txt line:
Code:
miner.exe --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t3eHS55WU1UdgKKQHwh5RpEpS7Y3TtjV37E.shubi --pass x --cuda_devices 0  -t 8
With this I made 115$ @ site "CEX.IO" for 1 month (15th Jan - 15th Feb) only with my Graphic Card.
But I also have a strong Processor, 8 slots of RAM, SSD, good cooling - so is there ANY other way to use FULL computer potencial for earning some more money? Smiley

I saw several topics about " CPU + GPU mining " but they are all outdated.. I tested my CPU power @ Zcash and it give me about 70 Sol/sec, while my GPU give me 720-750 Sol/sec..
But I am sure there is some better CryptoCurrency that can use max of my CPU, and maybe even include my 32Gb of RAM @2400Mhz?

Here is my PC config, so please help me with an advice what to MINE to use MAX potential of my machine:

  • Graphic Card: GIGABYTE nVidia GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11GB GDDR5X 352bit (OC:1800 MHz)
  • Processor: Intel® i7-4820K, 3.70GHz, 10M L3 Cache, up to 3.90 GHz, BOX 22nm (LGA2011)
  • CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 (SE2011) 6 Heatpipes, Quiet 140/120mm SSO Bearing PWM Fans
  • Motherboard: X79 Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 (MB 2011)
  • RAM: (8 slots) Kingston HyperX Beast 32GB @2400MHz Cl11 Kit (8x4GB quad-channel ddr3)
  • RAM Coolers:  (2 pair) G.Skill Turbulence III Memory Cooling Fan 3500rpm (Two silent 50mm fans)
  • HDD: WD Black 3TB (7200 RPM) SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch (WD3003FZEX)
  • SSD: SATA3 240GB Kingston HyperX 3K 555 MB/s
  • Case: Cooler Master - Storm Stryker - LED fan (White) SGC-5000W-KWN1 Full Tower Gaming Case
  • Power Supply: Thermaltake Smart M 850W 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular ATX 12V 2.4/EPS 12V 2.92

I get my graphic card outside of case on:
  • Riser: USB 3.0 PCI-E Express 1x To 16x Riser MOLEX

PIC: http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z164/Shubi_89/DSC_2599_zpst69hthay.jpg

--> So is there some kind of miner that use MIX of: nVidia GPU + intel i7 CPU + RAM? Roll Eyes

Nice topic!
I'd suggest you mining alter coins instead of main stream coins, this would give more possibilities.
You may need to do a research and find out the right coins that would a long-term hodl, then mining them  Smiley
Good luck! Please keep this thread updated Cool

I see that you are new to GPU/CPU mining.
You might get sufficient responses in the Mining (Altcoin) Board, I believe that this thread belongs there.
You can move this topic to the said board for this might not get any attention here.

FYI, there is a blue "move topic" button just below the webpage.
