I've tried countless methods of trying to get this to work.

  • Flushing IPTABLES, that doesn't seem to be the problem.
  • Letting bitcoin.conf allow my ISP IP address
  • Doing an allow all IP selector in bitcoin.conf

All has failed me, I simply can not solo mine using phoenix by using an external IP. Netstat shows that there are several connections from other nodes onto my server. I've also tried using the correct username and password and allowing my IP.

It keeps showing as 'Failed to connect...'. Netstat proves that that I can connect to the server itself, but Bitcoin simply is not responding to requests despite the correct username:password.

Could anybody offer some help?
