Right finally got my mitts on a 60Gh/s single sc but I haven't mined since 350mh/s with a gfx card was profitable !!!!so probably well over a year ago....

What's considered best mining software these days? And the usual question solo mine or pool!? And if I should pool who with Huh

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
