My buddy just finished developing a new bitcoin gambling site that has the name satoshi in it. When he tried making an account on this forum, he got the following message:

The username you tried to use contains the reserved name 'satoshi'. Please try another username.

If anyone knows a solution, please advise. Any help would be much appreciated.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Dude, 'satoshi' in this forum is used by Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. You can't use a name with satoshi so that you couldn't impersonate or deceive other gullible people.   Undecided

Be creative!

If userids containing satoshi are not permitted, there's a good reason for this, obviously. Bitcoin is almost a religion and that may seem like idolatry (not to non-believers and atheists of course), but there's a reason why it's so revered. Bitcoin really is that great and Satoshi really is/was such a genius. Try spelling variants, e.g. sotashi, shatoshy, etc. A little creativity can be rewarded. Smiley

Don't you know that satoshi is the god of bitcoin world? Is username is really that important? Just add it on your signature or use a logo  on your avatar would suffice.
