The different between people is the ability of catching opportunities.

Some bought bitcoin in 2010, some in 2011 , ... , and some would not buy untilll the bitcoin price get up to 100K dollars.

That's what whales do, they wait for the right moment to buy.
Well, if I had money, I would do the same. Eventually, investing such big sum of money will boost the price and make it boom again.
