Hi fellows,
While am new on bitcoin talk I am not new to bitcoin and the blockchain, yet when I try to make comments on certain post I see a redflag message of newbies not allowed to contribute, it isnt like newbies are dummies, and I want to believe everyone was once a newbie. I will like to know what can be done about that? Somebody please help a brother!

there is no way to judge whether a newbie has knowledge about Cryptoworld. You can make yourself familiar to others on this forum by start posting and helping newbies posts. Once you are at Jr level no one will stop you from posting on any post. Just spend some time here at bitcointalk.org and very soon your level will be raised.
this is another way of giving priority to people who have spend time here and have posted more to help community members.

The ability to contribute is not only about bitcoin related knowledge. It also takes some time to learn how this particular forum works, what kind of posts are considered useful or inappropriate, and so on. For example, the poll you posted is somewhat unintelligible and might have been frowned upon had you posted it on another board. Think of the newbie phase as a way to learn the ropes of this forum and show that you are here to contribute constructively.

If all newbie accounts were allowed to post in all threads than there is going to be so much spam generated that it wont be easy to moderate. To move your account level up you have to contribute to the forum, you don't just get it cause you think your are good at something.

I don't think what you're saying actually exists, as i've never heard of it before. Your message might be removed if it's deemed to be spam, but i don't think you're automatically ruled out from posting beforehand?

I've never ever seen or heard from big bold red letters stating that you can't post here.

Could you link me some threads you're not able to post in?

Other than the serious discussion and ivory tower, you should be able to post in all boards AFAIK. Read: Rules for Serious Discussion and Ivory Tower

Also if you did not know, there is a waiting period before you can post another one:

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

And this may sound dumb but have you tried checking if the thread is locked or not?

...when I try to make comments on certain post I see a redflag message of newbies not allowed to contribute, ...
what exactly red flag message you're seeing?
I believe it's just a warning that you need to wait before submitting another post
with time and more activities, this limitation will be lifted automatically
read Potato Chips' post above about "waiting period time"

We all started there. Take it easy and make a positive contribution through frequent, well thought out posts. Before you open your eyes, you will be in open waters. There is no way around it. Cool

Take it easy. A poll like that will land you in trouble in no time since it adds nothing of value. You have to get in line like the rest of us. It can be a pain in the butt, but that is the way it is.
