Yes you can and the people who manipulate the cryotocurrency prices are called as whales I think.But it is not easy as much as we think we need to hold big portion of that currency then we can manipulate the price of that coin,since the price of crypto currency is depends on supply and demand.

Monopoly? Not exactly, if you take monopoly as in a monopoly form of market where there is only one seller /a cartel or a company selling a same product /service at different prices to different people.
But manipulation, definitely yes. Monopoly advantage like you said is possible and does happen in the markets every day by the bulls, what we call as whales in the cryptocurrency markets.

it's unlikely that this bitcoin does not control anyone, and the bitcoin can not control the bitcoin because the bitcoin is determined by the market harha, the less bitcoin supplied is the bitcoin will be more expensive and vice versa so it's very difficult to manipulate the price bitcoin or other virtual currency prices.

I make use of one popular exchanger (I won’t mention their name, but they are very popular) they are used to setting Bitcoin price rate about 5% or so above others, and I have complained it to them several times, but they keep neglecting my messages. So I decided to quit and go with better ones. So market can be full of manipulations.

I believed it already manipulated like this so called ultimate corrections in which i believed this was done by the big whales or some conspiracy just to make bitcoin and other crypto currencies to pump and dump. I also believed that China wants to manipulate the Bitcoin value during their banning the Bitcoin but they failed and later on they just declared that they will just regulate it than banning it.

My answer is yes! It is actually a strategy use by fund manager who has a lot of financial capabilities to control in some extend the price of the market. It is actually happen in stocks market, forex, and even in cryptocurrencies.
 
The next question is this bad for the small player? The answer is no! We can take it to our advantage that kind of strategy use by big player. By studying the pattern use by big player, it is usually happen in the third wave of Resistance and Support line. All you have to do is carefully study the pattern.

Yes. Even though I am not a trader or a sort of like investor I have heard some people say that something might be possible to happen due to whale manipulation on the market. We can go with the flow but it is always an advantage to those who has money to buy or sell some during a manipulation. That is why we need to have a situational awareness most especially the virtual currency market because a lot can happen in just a matter of time. If we did it on the  right timing then not only those powerful entities make some gain but also of course us who make sone ride.

As far as I know no one can manipulates the virtual currency since it was designed that no 3rd part is involve and decentralized was occurred. Yes it is possible, but it is not going to be easy after all the power in bitcoin is fragmented, the miners have some power, the devs, political entities, the media, the exchanges and any big holder of coins have influence over the market but unless they conspire to try to manipulate the market then changing the direction up or down will not be easy at all.

Manipulation is not a new thing and it is a good thing you detected it earlier. In fact, from the look of things, the exchanges are even the biggest manipulators here when it comes to the market for either bitcoin or altcoins. They have the resources, they have the power and most times, they roll in a group and always decide to make the decisions when they all feel like. That is how I feel anyway.
