BT++ recommended. It adds features such as the Unread replies button and is currently being developed by jackjack to adapt it's features to DiscussBitcoin also. It also allows DiscussBitcoin to merge with bitcointalk.DiscussBitcoin was originally started in response to the fact some people wanted a new Bitcoin forum. Nothing more. Now, a thread, a design paper, and 3 incarnations of a test forum later, and DiscussBitcoin.org is ready for public use. (well, mostly. We just need some posts.) DiscussBitcoin is supposed to be a fresh start, that will be run differently. Those who read the design paper will understand. There is not much more to be said. Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.
