After doing so, expect a ban notice from the moderators for your and the other party's accounts within a day or week.

Yeah, it is not strange that there are lots of users abused the merit system and traded their sMerits. However, they has been and will be tagged by admin, moderators and other users sooner or later. You should not doing that way.
To get merits, you have to be as constructive and helpful as possible in the forum. Try writing constructive and helpful threads, which can help other users who are stucked with their problems. Then you will get what you are waiting for, Merits and sMerits. Please simply see them as passive rewards beside knowledge, experience you will get (which is more important than merit or smerit scores).

If you understand the what is the reason for the implementation of merit system in our forum then you won't as these stupid question,it is to stop the spammers from the rank up who are using our forum for earning purpose,if you are one of them you must need to get merit to participate in campaigns but try to get it with quality posts not with the money.

Nothing is stopping you from buying merit or merit yourself from alt accounts but you'll get neg trust and pretty much ruin your account here.

Just because you can, to that doesn't mean that you should.

You can trade merits but you will go no where. In worst case, your account will be banned permanently.
Be careful with merit trading or merit exchanging. Radars, public policeman, and moderators will tagged you soon if you do this.

For getting right approach, you should use search function of the forum for more available answers about this issue. Or you can search nullius and iasenko. They are users who got many merits after the system activated some weeks ago. You can read those post history and learn from their experience.
