I assume by Ca you mean California. I have traded on Mt.Gox, Bitstamp, Btc-e, Cryptsy, Coinbase, Coins-e, btcltc, and a few others I don't remember offhand. Each exchange has it's own features, advantages and disadvantages. Bitstamp is by far my favorite for strictly Bitcoin trading and Coinbase has recently shown itself to be useful. In my experience Bitstamp has been reliable and has always responded to my support requests promptly. USD can be sent there via international wire. Coinbase is not really an exchange, however it provides an easy and inexpensive way to buy and sell Bitcoins. Coinbase prices have been comparable to Bitstamp's. Btc-e has always been a difficult exchange to get USD in to. Cryptsy does not yet accept USD deposits, however I have heard that may soon change. For currencies other than bitcoin, I prefer Cryptsy. Like Bitstamp, the staff at Cryptsy has always been prompt in responding to support tickets. Hope this helps!
