bitcoin obviously.

litecoin- 1/100th efficiency of bitcoin because litecoin uses the inneficient scrypt algorithm. bitcoin: asics use far less power per m/h than do gpus. therefor bitcoin is more profitable. anyone who says otherwise is a waste of air.

I myself prefer litecoin. ASIC hardwares are everywhere now and maybe the bitcoin difficulty will reach 200m by the end of this year.. or even higher

novacoin yielding the most per hash power right now I believe.  You can use this to compare if you know what hash rates your getting with scrypt vs SHA256:

You cant mine Bitcoin profitably anymore with GPU. Mining altcoins profitability depends on your electricity costs, check

http://dustcoin.com/mining

with your specs  Wink

With the recent bitcoin diff jump to 149M gpu mining is a losing scenario.  Unless of course bitcoin to dollar value jumps.  At current conditions with btc at ~$128, my 2 7950s crunching away at about 1.3gh and using 500w+ power stand to generate about 0.0044btc daily.  Effectively that's generating $0.57 worth of btc on $.84 worth of power (power cost roughly 0.07/kWh).

On the other hand I can generate 1 to 1.5LTC daily which according to btc-e's current ltc/btc exchange rate, 1.5LTC is worth about 0.028425btc.

I am curious..

Market forces lead to Bitcoin ASICs. What would stop ASICs for Litecoin if it became profitable? If this happens, how is Litecoin then different from Bitcoin?
