How the fuck did I become a super troll? This thread should be locked. BTW, the person who penned that quote is really CBH. Don't make me go Wayback Machine on your ass.  Grin

It is just one place to discuss bitcoin.

I believe bitcoin will need multiple spaces for discussion. Bitcointalk (i.e. one site) is too small to handle world wide discussions as the community grows larger and larger each year.

I suspect more outlets are and will become available soon.

Phinnaeus, I've written a whole chapter in this book "Bitcoinomics" on you and your trollness. Should I take this out?

Kidding. You're not a troll.

I think Josh from BFL or Zhou Tong from Bitcoinica might disagree with that. lol

BitcoinTalk isn't particularly important beyond its utility as a pegboard for announcements, its proclivity to expose those with potential and those who are wilfully clueless, and its depths of lol (those last two often enough being one and the same). IRC is where stuff of any import happens.

BitcoinTalk is a community of people who realized the implications of Bitcoin after hearing about it.
Most people don't.

It makes for a very interesting mental demographic here. A very unique community.
