I read while reading many threads here that a bitcointalk.org member lost $2,000,000 in Bitcoin.   Shocked

The question,is how did he lost, there is no specific details, why that he lost that kind of big investment of asset,i thinks he is the one blaming of himself, why he lost that kind of big asset, maybe at first investment he become successfull all the things  they do,but he could not contented of the profits he gain and he want to triple all of this profits, without knowing thats theres coming price blow off  and other problems coming from cryptocurrency.therefore why sometimes being a good  listener and researching  all the news information about cryptocurrency world will help us also to become a tools of our trading investment,to know when should we sell or hold our investment.

These stories are often found on the forum. And in real life to lose such a huge amount of money is very simple. People neglect the safety of their finances. It's sad.

Probably you are referring to the pizza guy , the one who bought 2 pizzas and beer with 10.000 bitcoins as that is the person who has bought 2 pizzas for 86.000.000 dollars taking into consideration the actual price of bitcoin of 8600 dollars. Sure these pizzas are the most expensive ones the world has ever seen and will remain like this for eternity I believe.

In my opinion, the price of Bitcoin lowered again in 2018 is indispensable in the law of increasing - decreasing of the market. The volatility of this market makes many investors lose a lot of money. A BitcoinBike member who lost $ 2,000,000 in Bitcoin was just one of the few losers in the rebate. They know and accept it. Now they can take $ 2 million but at other times they get $ 10 million ... that's the fun part of investing. At the moment they have sold and lost $ 2 million but if they keep retaining and bravely investing more, in a short period their earnings could equal 5 or 7 times that number.

Bitcointalk user "wongjack" who has 8000 Bitcoins can lose $30,000,000 if he does not sell/cash out.

This week Bitcoin had gone below $6,000 twice in 24 hours.

o lose, it means to sell during a decline in prices, but the fact that a person has more than 100 bitcoins on his account and they lost $ 2 million in the price does not mean that he lost them

You mean because of the course? Maybe this is because bitcoin has fallen almost 3 times from its maximum. I also lost more than 2 times.

A gambler walks into a casino with $20, parlays it up to $2M, and then loses it all. On his return home, his wife asks "how did your gambling go tonight?". He responds, "lost $20".

Bitcoin can go to $20 after all the gambling.

Never heard of this. Do you have any link for an article or story on this? How did he lose it, was it because of the price drop, or were the coins stolen due to a hack or something like that? This forum is here from the start, we have posts from Satoshi in this forum, so we definitely have a lot of users here with tons of coins. Quite sad to see anyone losing that amount of cash.

We have to accept it, so the current trend here at Bitcoins is falling and rising, wait for it to increase the price of the BTC.
because I'm sure that with the ups and downs of Bitcoins is a big profit that can be received

right. Even if we are robbed or mistakenly invested, we must accept that loss. Because our assets are not guaranteed by law and hackers can rob people's money and do not fear government interference.
That is probably the most negative point of bitcoin. We need to protect our assets more carefully. Cold storage is a perfect choice for us.

That is a big amount of money and there are thousands of users out here so the total losses might result to that. However, that is just normal in crypto especially during this kind of market. I am sure that most users are aware how to cope ipup with it sice most people here are experienced enough on this kind of situation.

I spend a lot of time in a day in this forum, but I have never found a topic that says it.
$ 2.000.000 is a very big value will greatly make me weak if the loss happened to me. hopefully that person can rediscover his money and hopefully it's just pending transactions.

that's a huge amount. But I do not know why that person lost money. Do they invest in the wrong way or have they been robbed?
