I doubt it was an "ALL IN" move ... quote Dan Harrington (poker player) "nobody go all in cash games" ... are you Kamikaze ?

You never know though, you know how many people in crypto are actually all-in or have more in crypto than they have in real life? I am sure the number is more than you think and it probably is an alarming amount of people. It would suck to have gotten rekted in one move on 2 million, but the world has seen dumber.

that's a big mistake because we can do a not big investing here like 0.01 btc only and it can turn to 1 btc when 2014 btc price then go by now even now but not really high because the price of btc go high too.I think better to go in school then back in crypto if you have knowledge already and use little btc only for investing.

my own thoughts
As incomplete information poker gamer addictive ... ok, I will pay the "buy in" competition ticket in and in my maths the maximum I will loose will be not more than my buy in ticket .. but I discovery that a lot of stuf was set up before I buy in my ticket .. for instance ... on that particular table I know player will fail

That's an awful lot, with so much bitcoin available we can buy anything we want, I think the bitcoin owner will regret it for the rest of his life, and do not let that happen again.

How he lost it?

You buy 1 Bitcoin for $15,000 and now Bitcoin is $9000, how much money did you lose ?? The price fell.

Bitcointalk user "wongjack" who has 8000 Bitcoins can lose $30,000,000 if he does not sell/cash out.

there are many users, hundreds infact that can be considered millionaire losers.
its what will always happen. for every winner theres an equal and opposite loser.

though i only consider it a few coins out of my hoard.. i have experienced similar. but so have many others.

i bought a rig for 60btc back in 2013-4 which didnt make ROI due to a mega difficulty jump just weeks after that, which pretty much literally rendered my rig to become a slow hasher and thus more efficient at heating my apartment than hashing btc.

though back then 60btc was not worth much.. so in reality it was only about $1k

at todays value i could say it was worth a 'loss' of over $1m at christmas 2017 prices.
but everyone moves on and ensures they dont mess around with their main hoard. and if they lose out on their few coins they dont value much at the time.. then thats that.

i think there are many hundreds of early adopters that could say similar stories.. oh well. we all move on. atleast some of us are smart enough to still have a bigger hoard we will not touch and will do everything to protect. including not let devs mess too much with bitcoin code

It depends on when he lost them. If he lost them in 2013 by buying a pizza and they would now be worth USD 2,000,000, then it must have happened to a lot of people! Back then nbd knew it would skyrocket.

In 1997, I was thinking of buying a 25 cents per square feet land in an undeveloped area. Today, the country's biggest international airport is coming up within 10 kilometers of that area. The land price now in that area is $110 to $200 per square feet.

That is 440 to 800 times profit in 20 years. 100% supported by governments, investors and banks.

hundreds if not thousands of guys

based on christmas 2017 high... $1m is 50btc

so you will find many people from 2009-2018 that lost 50btc+ at some point
a guy in the UK threw a hard drive in the trash that had over 50btc on it a few years back
bitcoin pizza guy in 2010 wasted 10,000btc on pizza
thousands of guys who lost atleast 50 btc in mtgox and other 'exchange hacks'

its very common occurrence actually

Can you actually define "lost"?  Did the person get their computer stolen or suffer a hard drive failure and not have a backup? Or did the person fritter the money away gambling in which case you should have very little pity for the guy, as they often say some people have more money than sense.  Shocked
