Miners still not cooperating.  Odds of a chain split, in a few days, is high.  Things could become very unpredictable.

Community Fundraiser:  1,000,000 IXcoin

Before anyone chokes on that huge number let me explain the purpose of 1 million IXC.  To really succeed, IXcoin needs to have a wide and fair distribution and right now it’s still looking too much like Bitcoin’s HODLers mentality.

There are plenty of IXC whales that have not donated and have not helped with development - IXcoin’s success should be a community effort, not a few guys doing all the work and also paying for it out of pocket.

Please consider this request, you gain nothing by sitting on a mountain of coins if we can’t get the right partners to reach number 1.  Donate whatever you can - every little bit helps.  Thanks to everyone who has helped out over the years, we’re not giving up, although the odds are greatly against us, we can still become the best crypto currency in the world.

Regards,

Vlad

With the larger blocks after the fork we can distribute a massive number of small wallets. Millions per day. Billion over the course of a month. Most coins cannot do that and still be decentralized.

How about focus on mobile wallet such as coinnomi which is on the new version. Anyone who downloads a coinomi wallet gets some IXC. Say a sliding scale. First 10000 downloads get 10 next 10000 get one and so forth. Less than 200k coins would be enough for every smartphone on Earth.  Looking for great ideas. Distribution is a major challenge in cryptoland and we have a potential winner here!

Yes, distributing donated coins to Coinomi users sounds like the way to go.  I can’t wait to see the biggest blocks in crypto at work.  Smiley

This maggot lied his way into our dev team.  He stole 120,000 ixc from me.  And $4,000 from the community.

Avoid!!!  And when I get the money, BLACKHATS ATTACK!!!!

I'm really sorry to hear that Vlad =(

Judging by the few posts he made, its likely a sock puppet account

I only sent him a few hundred IXC months ago

You squirming maggot!  Find one person in all cryptoworld that I have wronged or stolen from. 1 human!

Muslim Maggot, you dare challenge me?  I’ll lay it all down now if you can point to one lie or one scam from me.

Bring it, maggot!!!

Can you point to one? You keep on neglecting the fact that i owe you no more then 25k IXC, and that i sent you $20k.
Also, i am not muslim, not even close. I dont have a religion.

Choo-choo, 2 da Moon and back ... no, not really. I don't have to say anything on the matter of who scammed who, if, when, why and such stuff but I have to say a bit on Moonshot. It is not going to happen anytime soon mainly because liquidity sux balls. And some people holding way too much coins or those coins possibly being lost. If someone is just sitting on a big pile of coins or not is not easy to say but how about introducing a big time killa badass feature in the next IXC version that goes like this:

1. Lock all addresses that had no outgoing transactions for let's say 2 years.
2. Starting with block X make it so that Y IXC ends up taken from all such addresses, per block, and given to development fund, miners or both.

X and Y are subject to debate.

Such feature would ensure, if nothing else, that all IXC lost somehow are gradually back into circulation.

Do not be a chicken and avoid messing with blockchain. ETH said fuck off to thief, rewritten blockchain and it is doing just great, just check it.

And yes, put more coins up for sale, improve liquidity.

Listen, my friend. This is going to be very hard to comprehend but none of what you are seeing is real.

There are lots of coins for sale. I lost hundreds of thousands to Cryptsy yet still I do liquidity-providing on all three exchanges IXCoin is still on.

I also lost everything on Cryptopia yet am still building back up on there albeit it is taking a while.

I just hope all this talk about a hardfork isn't going to lose us the exchanges, did any of them get onboard with the idea at all?

Coinexchange and Cryptopia updated to the new wallet. Yobit has not but it has kept the wallet in maintenance. You will need the new wallet to get your IXC off an exchange.

Agree with the liquidity problem - but not your presumption of the cause. There are a couple of necessary but not sufficient characteristics. 1) Distribution - definitely an issue here but there are some options after the hard fork - see my posts above. Lots of people with different needs and goals will increase the need to trade and liquidity 2) Real use cases - Need to have a reason to go in and out of the coin via exchange and speculation alone is not a long term solution. 3) A reason - crypto gold, touring completeness, you get the idea....

ETH got a lot of buzz by being more programmable, pretty widely distributed, and had a killer use case in EC20 tokens to raise funds easily - the added bonus is all EC20 token have to go through ETH and push up demand for ETH - I would argue that is the primary use case and main driver for ETH price. The hard fork to recover funds is NOT a plus - any two bit regulator can come along and compel a hard fork or at least try since there is precedence.

I've written a bot which is providing liquidity on cryptopia and yobit - but currently only have about 20k IXC available so wont attract any big fish
