Not posting with your main account means you have something to hide, come out like I did, I have changed my strategy for giving away merits as a source several times, I have found the best solution, provide step by step guide for everything I would ask and receive merits. from now on, you will never get any merit from me for random posts on random boards. I will focus on members one by one, complete a task to receive 4 merits instantly and have me reading your posts to merit the worthy ones.

Thanks before.
Before what? before receiving merit from me, you should thank me with at least $20 tip, a man has got to eat right? also if you buy my one and only domain name for $30, you would have earned my attention as the most reputable source.

If you really want to know why theymos made me a source? because banning me couldn't have hurt me like making me a source with 5 sMerits. giving 5 sMerits out of almost 12,000 is like taking a drop of blood from somebody who is willing to donate a bucket of his blood.

Your intelligence is average, you wisdom non-existent.

You are smart enough to understand that what I say is common sense. That puts you above the many users that are exchanging merit with alts in plain sight.

You don´t understand the point of this post. That puts you below the many other that see it as an advice to the previously mentioned ones.

Please, notice that English in English is written with an starting capital letter. if you are going to criticise my style,  I urge you to improve your writing to avoid looking stupid.

Thanks for the correction, although you don't really seem to grasp what i was actually saying. I obilized your position of being a merit source, due to your level of english.

You can, *ofcourse*, question my level of English, but i am not here claiming to be a merit source. That's you.

The forum ( or administrators of the forum) take weeks to make someone like LoyceV a source ( although i'm still not sure if he is one), but they just accepted you out of the blue? Sorry, but your story doesn't add up.

 Roll Eyes Again, how can you ever distinguish a constructive post when you don't know the difference between A and AN?

(And before you tell me that you've been appointed to be a merit source for local boards, i'd remind you to take a closer look at the first replies you did in this topic. Surely you would've told us?)

What is the domain name? I only buy .coms at the moment.

The reason of posting this thread as alt for privacy is clear and logical. Also the reason of this thread is clear. It is an info and try to reduce Merit threads. But it will not help. Better would be an own section for Merit stuff, so that important infos and questions on Meta will get again more attention.

Thank you for helping to recover this forum, and bring it back to the great resource it was a few years ago.

I can understand your problems, and your difficulty in finding reasonable posts to reward. I received some sMerit to give away, and I have had a real struggle to find posts that I felt were deserving of merit. As I only had a few sMerits ( around 80 ), I decided that I would not be able to award them to "average" posts. It takes a lot of time wading through all the threads, and semi-literate replies, and stupid great infographics that get quoted several times make things even harder. I've found that it is much easier if I put bad posters ( by my standards ) on ignore. This had made things a lot more manageable, and I have found some interesting threads and posts whilst I am looking through the boards.

I would like to make a plea to posters. Please think of the readers who scan threads quickly, and who don't have the time to wade through great strings of repeated text. There is no need to quote a 5,000 word post, just copy a relevant line and snip the rest. Please don't quote large images, readers are likely to quit the thread rather than scroll through a load of repeated content. Don't post in capitals - it slows down reading quite a lot, and may result in you being put on ignore. Formatting with massive headings and a couple of screens worth of indifferent text is also likely to get you ignored.

Just remember, the guys who are speed reading are likely to be your best customers. Smiley

Your post is very much appreciated but how to join on your list? Im a newbie here

Maybe this will help you guys if you're having trouble finding threads that newbies are participating. And give them some of your sMerits Thanks!

@alia & @pixie85 - Thanks for the merit... now I have to look for another good post this month to give it away   Roll Eyes

@tirio - I did not intended this post to be funny, but... well, I am glad to be making the world a funnier place. Believe it or not, there are many people trying to find the "automatic and repeatable way" of getting merit.

@Welsh - I hope so. There are good posts everywhere and this is just starting.

@Kwame Genius, @Jet Cash

@jointherevolution
@izanagi narukami
- The purpose of this post is to discourage merit trading and farming. Some people don't understand the system as well as you.

@zikabra - I clearly state that I don't want merit on this account. I have tons of smerit... really please, no more!!
                 I can only merit people on the languages I understand, but Theymos is particularly keen on looking for sources  or local boards (see his thread about merit). Eventually, it may be even easier to get merit locally. No one will ever be excluded for disagreeing with me, or even for personal attacks (within reason).

@AdolfinWolf - You are not excluded from merit from me. I hope my English is good enough to understand your awful writing overcome your lack of wisdom.

@jerick06 - There is no list nor anything to sale. You may want to take a look at the meta post about merit.

@coolcoinz - You are right, I am sad that so many people make themselves "un-meritable" for a long time, because they do make good posts sometimes.

@HabBear - Thanks for the support. Theymos has no better reason to listen to me than to anyone else, but what you say makes sense.

@digaran - Love you way of thinking. Yes, I have something to hide. I want to hide my user for getting personal messages or being involved in anything that could make me less objective. I want to hide from heavy scrutiny, because I am human (did I already mention that?) and I make mistakes. But you are free to believe that I am just dishonest if that's your wish.

@maeusi - Thanks, someone out there understands me.

@cabalism13 - Oh... should I read that thread then  Tongue

I won't keep writing on this thread. I really have a life and lots of posts to read, believe it or not.

what I found interesting:

Quote
- I have lots of merit to give away. I mean that I have to spend quite a bit of time looking for good posts just to make sure I distribute my monthly quota correctly. I rarely merit more than 3 points.

1.merit sources do not have an unlimited pool of merits to give away
2.the quota is refreshed every month
3.if the points are not distributed they are wasted,i.e. not added up every month to the old ones? (not sure,could be not true)

Quote
- I check the users. Before meriting you I take a look at your merit profile. What do you think that would happen if I find that you are trading merit with other users in low quality posts...

4.merit sources,at least this particular one,not only merit good posts,but can be your demise if you are found guilty of abuse
5.probably belongs to D2 or even D1 trust

thank you for the insight,was an interesting read
